S03E08: Day 2: Sweet Little God and the Sweet Little Horde.

R-word warning as per usual.

Last time: We did a few sidequests, and this time we shall do some more. Hopefully we can squeeze the rest into this one update.

Guanidia is in the party once again!

In one of these alcoves, you can get a Cryzalis if you walk into the wall.

Use that... pod? thingy and...

These slimes die from a hit each and only give 2XP, so I'd guess they're meant to be like the slimes from the start of Laxius Power 1.

And we killed whatever this thing was!

We jump down a hole in a side path...

And find some crafting loot and slime pods.

You have to Egress out of this hole and the next one.

Another sidepath...

A lot of crystal gems!

Oh yeah, this dungeon has random encounters. A very low rate, it seems, but it's there. Egress.

We hurl ourselves down the hole leading to the boss and find this dungeon also has the roaming encounters.

All the enemies in this dungeon are pathetically weak.

Shitty loot and more Crystal Gems. Instead of egressing, this room has yet another hole to jump in.

+2 attack???? What the fuck! Bullshit.

Anyway we loot more gems and kill more slimes and jump down ANOTHER hole in this hole inside a hole.
There was a billion Slime Nests here btw.

Lord Slimes are still nonthreats, but they give Guanidia +3 Slayer points and not just 2 like the other slimes.

This is another shitty one.

I mean, sure he has the most XP in the party now and jumped up a couple levels, but it's going to mean absolute jack shit even in the short term.

Get trolled by some fake Crystal Gems.

And then we get chased by a huge horde of the bigger slimes. Now, usually when you fight roaming enemies, the ones corellating to a specific battle will die on the map. So, like fightig three slimes would make three of the slimes here die, and you'd have to run into a different one to keep fighting more. This one works a bit different for cinematic reasons, I guess.

You basically got locked into a series of six battles and when you (easily) best them all...

We get a lot of explosions as they all die at once.

There's a lot of slime pods here too, and Guanidia finally gets a decent Slayers level.

Could be handy.

The screen shakes when we use this thing.

And we get a pretty easy boss fight. Nothing remarkable, it barely damages us and only has a couple thousand HP, which we chew through in two turns.

I guess it turns into a big bubble and bursts?? There's a sparkly animation that I guess is meant to be it popping and the flecks going everywhere.

"are!"

Hey! Hey!!!!! She's metagaming!!!!! Sarah's metagaming!!!!!!!!! Who do I report this to???

The quest is done, and we're mostly done here.

The slime kings floor has three last holes to fall though. The left one...

Leads to a room of dead pods. You have to Egress and then walk all the way back to the prior area.

The middle hole leads to live pods, which I slaughter. If you're going to commit genocide, you best be thorough, otherwise what is the point?

I think I can read this and I agree: bougies do look like death.

Have to Egress from here.

The Right Hole...

... Leads to dead pods and another smaller hole. We get a yes or no prompt here. If you say yes...

We fall a long way and land with a screenshaking crash.

This guy fell down here and then couldn't escape because we're too far down for Egress to work.

He joins us as a comrade after begging us to save him, and we get a Quest Complete message and XP bonus. Okay!

Time to-

Oh.

So uh... There's no way out of the hole. The game is soft-locked. If you came down here without saving you're probably melting down right about now.

This is a quest we're meant to complete much, much, much, much later in the game, so, sorry Henrik, you'll have to survive down here on your own a while.

Reload! Thankfully I was saving every time I passed the save point.

The Slime King counts as our first Prestigious Victory!

Let's move on.

I put Wendala back in for this.

Normally roaming enemies head straight for you, but this guy doesn't.

While much stronger than the slimes, he still only has a couple hundred HP and does minimal damage.

Wouldn't be too bad if not for our small collection of import shields, plus the Warlord Shields we got recently.

Do find complete junk though.

So, if you remember, the goal of this quest is to kill every single thief. This fight here is a trio.

I head to the far east side of the map first, where a new enemy type and a few Scoundrel trios await us.

Killing Machines aren't that tough either. Somewhat more durable, but fighting anything less than three can be done in a round just by normal attacking.

Wendie gets a greatly improved version of her Speed buff. Lovely.

One scoundrel idles here in the corner, hoping you will miss him and then be unable to complete the quest. It didn't work! R.I.P.

Jog through rooms killing dudes and picking up minor loot...

Ugh.

There's a couple mysterious water tunnels down here for some reason. Dunno. We backtrack a couple areas.

This is the closest thing to a boss fight and you just Lava Wall it, really.

Wow, two Thunder Doms.

At least this guy stands out more than the other one.

Really? This is all we get for a sidequest?? Make it at least +50 or something! Then it'd be well worth bringing some of the slower characters like Guanidia and Coryool!

Anyway, we get some shoddy loot.

Let's turn our quests in.

This is for the Assassin's Fortress. And remember we get 10% bonus for being members.

Sarah will also point out the Assassins were so easy it was like a training quest.

Slime Nest.

Would Random sacrifice his friends for fame and glory...? Hm.

We tell this guy we did his dopey training quest.

And he gives us another one.

You may be wondering "How can you tell what quests are done and which aren't?" and the answer is that completed quests stand still, while ongoing quests have a walk animation.

Anyway, back out of Metrolia and just to the east of the HQ...

Cool name.

Well! Wasn't expecting to see the skulls right off the bat.

Chaz! will call this guy a coward, and then Coryool calls Chaz! a coward in turn, upsetting him.

Those two chests in this entry room are empty btw.

Reminds me of something.

When we enter the next room, a large hall, a very brief cutscene where we get charged by Black Lady's plays.

An unfortunate mistranslation or misunderstanding, probably. Anyway, they're nothing and are swept away in a single attack each.

Only one of the pillars in this hall has an eye on it...

Valuable treasure at the far end of the hall... There's also six side rooms.

Oh, this dungeon has random encounters too. These are also swept aside as though nothing.

...? There's a couple skulls like this in the side rooms.

Luci, clearly annoyed, tells Guanidia that's not what she meant to do. Since Wendala apparently does not count as undead enough, we'll be coming back much later in the game for this... mini-quest.

A couple of the side rooms are just Skull Storage.

These guys are also random encounters and are also easy.

So, if you use the pillar with an eye...

We get an easy fight we destroy in a turn. When the battle ends, the eye is gone.

Moved to another pillar...

And we fight this guy instead. He is also a trivial one turn fight.

The eye moves four more times, the next three alternate between the two guys we fought and they always say the same thing.

The last...

Is just five skeletons who don't say anything for some damned reason. Are they the skeletons of the other five enemies?

One side room has an teaser chest and a hot skull.

Another sideroom. This switch only appears after the pillar fights we just did.

Also, this shitty weapon for Luci is behind the statue.

One of the Skull Storage rooms is extra pleasantly decorated.

So, that switch made this pentagram appear, and when you walk on it...

Bam! We're teleported onto a save point. No way back, though you can Egress.

Locked gate... I go south out of this large room and into a hall leading both east and west.

Also, there's these easy ?giant? ghoul things as random encounters here now.

Hm. One of those heads stands out.

Random carefully adjusts the head and the gate opens.

Going through the door at the north...

Teleports you back here. We have to go back through the pentagram and walk back to that doorway again, and this time we can proceed.

That side room...

Full of single fights against the ghoul things.

Also a very bloody mess.

This ring is the only reason to come down this way, actually. And Random, Sarah, Luci and Wendie cannot even use it!

Anyway, in the prior room, the north doorway goes to...

A fight against six Black Ladys.

I can't believe I typed that out.

Also a huge pile of skulls. Doesn't seem to be anything else though.

So we backtrack to the hall.

I missed him earlier, but there's a cryptkeeper type dude in the large room here. Luci said he 'seems damned' and Leanda will pipe up about crypts having crazy curses on them that would explain a lot of bizarre undead encounters.

At the other end of the hall, when you hit about this spot, you'll set off a trap if you walk along the heads on sticks (but not if you walk on the otherside of the hall).

Knives will fly out of the wall and I think you can actually dodge them.

I did not. They do a fair bit of damage!

This other gate is unlocked so we can go right in.

Just like the other side of the hall, when we try to go through that doorway...

We're back here. At least you could have teleported us to that chest game! (Well, not really. There's no event for the chest.)

Second times the charm. If you head up a bit, you stop just so the ghoul thing can pounce at us. Easily dispatched though.

The north room has these. High ass defense, but seem to have little offense. So, it takes three turns to kill both.

What's that thing on the wall. Kind of looks like... a cyborg...

Anyway, backtrack to prior room and go west this time.

There's nothing in here but this statue and lots of skulls. The screen begins to shake if you touch the statue. We've found an optional boss fight!

He's not tough though. Over 4k HP or something, not especially damaging, and his defenses aren't high. Just have Random use TeAndal's Glory and then normal attack, Sarah and Luci use Razor Sun and Wendie cast Love Me and you'll beat him with ease.
Apparently it has a chance to drop an Adamantium Rapier, but we didn't get it, and it's neither artifact nor relic so idgaf.

After you kill it, Luci wonders how many people it's killed.

And if you use the statue again, it'll laugh. A high-pitched trickster kind of laugh.

Oh, Coryool...

This is another easy as hell random encounter we get on the way back to the large room from earlier.

The switch opened the gate, so...

There's stairs down just below this chest...

Dust Worm random encounter pays the ultimate price. Anyway, after the last room there's another east to west hall with stairs at the end of each. They both lead to the same place ultimately.

Though they different guards at the stairs.

When you look at this thing on the wall...

We get another optional boss fight. I can't tell you much about it, because despite having 2k HP and lots of resistances and defense, a single 200 damage Thunder Crush from Random one shots it. Because of its chance to inflict Death.

So that was easy. Nothing really comes of the battle though besides a stat up item.

Just a bit further on, we get attacked by a horde of Black Ladys.

...

It's eight battles against three of them.

In a nice little touch, you can see the rest of the horde on the battle background for the first 6 fights.

There's no explosion when they all die at once this time though.

Hidden chest...

And before we go to the last room of this dungeon, I follow the right path back to where we were earlier.

Taking these guys by surprise as I do.

Even all together these guys are a nothing fight, especially when you get your surprise round.

Hey!!! We already have one of those!!

And eye conjures forth two evil eyes and then...

We find ourselves in another optional boss fight.

He has over 5k HP but is otherwise unimpressive. Not sure he even did much damage on his hits! Oh well.

And apparently this was a quest. I mean, it's not in the questbook, but a bunch aren't formal quests like that.

This is pretty lame even by your standards, Wendie.

Gloomer lol.

Gloomer staff. Gloomerpilled. Gloomerbrained. Gloomerscrolling. The Gloomer Generation. It sucks though.

Rainbow Tsunami is an improvement over how nearly useless Fresh Tsunami has been rendered by the stat rescaling.
Still not that great though.

Angel Wars seems to lack any elements besides BLADE so it could be a handy spell at the right time, but otherwise, meh.

Two more Noticeable Victories for us!

Following the road west of Metrolia...

The Prison of Desa Nuts.

We're immediately confronted with bugs.

Very strong bugs. Normal attacks do very little damage to them. However, they seem susceptible to many status effects, up to and including Death, which works on them rather frequently. We have a few skills that do just that, so that's nice.

This is literally more than five times better than Protection is now.

The prison is divided in half depending on whether you go left or right at the start of the dungeon.

Remember that hole in the wall there for the moment.

Just past the room with the hole is another room with this key. I backtrack and go up the stairs.

Upstairs we find this. If you remember, this quest is about finding a stolen red potion to get our rank up in the Mage Guild.

The quest also mentioned something about the enemy being able to escape to this place because they were small.

There's not really a lot to say about this dungeon because every enemy is Beezsz' and I just have Random defend while Sarah, Luci and Wendie all cast Death, since Randoms Thunder Crush costs like over ten MP and he doesn't even have 100 MP.

I clear out a bunch of rooms and get some minor loot and then find the stairs... back down?

This is the one non-Beezsz enemy here. Kind of a miniboss but he's no challenge.

The door behind him is locked though, so I think fighting him is pointless. R.I.P.

These fists are probably the only reason to come to this area. I Egress back to the entrance.

Let's go right this time.

The second floor on this side just has one room with some more PP, so up to the third floor.

The third floor has the actual prison.

It sucks!

Also the key is pointless since the backwall of the cell has an opening into the next cell which of course goes back to the cell blook hall.

The top middle cell is a teaser.

You can brush cobwebs out of the way if you really want a fight and some Phoenix Feathers.

The bottom middle cell is completely empty and the bottom left cell is also empty except for some trap that shoots a highly damaging blue thing at you.

This is literally our third one of these. Though due to the import glitch one is just '686' now.

Anyway, that's all for this dungeon for now. And you may go, huh what? What about the potion?

Well, if I wanted to, I could put Guanidia or Herasia in the party and they could squeeze through that hole to get it. It leads to the room behind the Eye Smashers door. But if you wait till later in the game we'll get another way of completing this quest.
It's nothing huge, it's just something I've not seen before and thus I want to see it myself.

Not doing the quest now will prevent us from doing a couple Mage Guild quests for the time being, but oh well! We can deal with it.

We head back to the east of Metrolia. The sign prior to this refers to this area as the Golden Coast if you recall.

We are immediately confronted by three solo Mosquito battles.

More names for the coast.

Anyway, just below us is a small stone building you can't seem to do anything with. And some empty crates. I decide to head north first.

Wait, what?

Oh my god! They're Big Cow holdouts that haven't gotten the news that Big Cow was defeated!

Their house here is empty.

This is behind the tree here.

You already lost!

Anyway, if we hadn't wrapped up the Minotaur subplot in LP1, Batabog would be here. He was the minotaur that joined our party temporarily during the minotaur boat dungeon.

And we could recruit him to the party right here and now if we went to the Centaur Fortress and got a Mighty Axe. Apparently it was once used by the bravest minotaurs according to Random, and it would inspire Batabog to Change Da World.

But since we did do those quests in LP1, he is not here. He will show up eventually, in much different circumstances, however.

Back to the prior area.

This thing has over 3500 HP but Wendie casting Death on it saves us a fight.

The guy thanks us and Luci just has to correct him. We get no reward though.

The last two minotaurs we meet are actually hostile. They send the 'machine' Orfuls sent them after us.

Another mostly easy fight. The Minotaurs have a decent bit of HP, and can do like... 50 damage, I guess. That's after one casting of Grand Protection. The Two-Headed Machine will double hit for the same amount, but has by far the most HP we've seen in this game thus far, at about 7500.

Pretty simple fight though. Just buff and debuff and use your best moves. Doesn't take long to burn through even that much HP.

Also here's Luci casting Lord of the Dance. Lol.

Whew.

If we hadn't recruited Wendie in LP1, or imported our LP2 save, we'd find her stuffed in this crate. Yes you read that right. Her fate in being snail mailed across the continent is completely unavoidable.

It was simply fated.

Also, because Sarah is a psycho...

The meeting goes very poorly pretty much immediately even though we are liberating a helpless slave from minotaur captivity.

Anyway, the house in this area is an empty wreck like the last one, though you can find a small amount of PP in it.

... You look like how I feel, Random.

Gah! The Mosquitos have respawned!

In the next area there's a hidden area in the water here.

You're meant to think this is the big treasure, but...

This is hidden here! Barely visible!

Backtrack and continue on.

If you go east, you wind up on the world map again, so I head west.

I don't know why he's the only one we get the option of killing. Anyway, this guy is looking for some pirate/thief hideout but can't find it.

Around here you can find a few small piles of PP in the cruddy homes or on the ground.

Dunno what the deal is with these.

These thieves mustn't be very good.

I head back out to the world map again for a moment.

We'll be ignoring the Guard for just a little while.

The Guild of Fire is apparently a very benevolent guild that believes in equality to a degree. There's no cost to join, and there's no ranks.
We're just 'Fire Members.'

Speaking to her again does get us a quest to find a lost 'sarcophage' though. She doesn't know where it is, just that since it has never been found, it is likely an ancient unknown place.

Teleport point...

And an orb trains us.

Speaking to the orb again causes it to give us a training quest. After it changes its mind about killing all the fire elementals in the Pit of Fire, it asks us to 'touch their emerald stone' instead. Which sounds lewd, knowing what we know about fire elementals, if you ask me.

And there's some ?artifacts? here?

I go back to the Thieves Coast.

Pushing this crate reveals the way to the hideout.

We're ambushed when we go through, but a surprise round is not enough to stop us.

The side paths lead to more rooms with Scoundrels but nothing interesting.

Slayer Ninja's can actually do some damage. They double hit Random for 50-60ish damage anyway.

They're a tad on the fragile side themselves, however.

See this light spot here?

A lady is living in this secret and 'heartily' pays us to leave her alone by giving us the dress right off her back! Look! The sprite changed!

Sarah just calls Wendie stupid. Sandy would also say something about not being able to live in a place like this because she'd either be scared or bored.

The dress is a decent upgrade for Sarah though.

This is a really funny looking ambush if you ask me.

Nice.

Hello,

Anyway, we get a marginally dangerous enemy here. She does not have the staying power to be a real threat, but she can hit everyone for decent damage. Well, not Random. She only does 50 to him. But she did 100 to the other three.

Also, 'Damned Snake' is a really funny name for a snake lady, if you ask me. So many questions about what this enemy is meant to be.

FUCK!

The chest explodes, but at least we get some PP.

It hurt a lot, however.

Backtrack...

This time a rock is dropped on our heads.

This hurt even more!

Pictured: The four Scoundrels on the roof jumping us.

The two Slayer Ninjas are a seperate battle and they drop a key we need.

This is like... an indoor beach room?

Backtrack...

AGAIN

It looks like you should be able to walk through here, but even the tile change doesn't really convey well that it's actually a different platform.

usual hidden shit. nothing special.

The ninjas were guarding this lot...

Like I said earlier, the minotaurs are more durable than dangerous and that holds true even when there's three.

Eh.

what are you doing down there. why

You might think this guys a boss fight. I guess he kind of is? But he's also the normal enemy type of the next dungeon we're doing. He has annoyingly high defense and good resists, but isn't particularly dangerous. Laser. LASER him. Everything with laser to destroy him.

No, I don't know why Random learns the much better Silver Attack after Golden Attack. Why do you ask.

Random says this and then with one last slash sends Ghrum careening across the map.

Woo! And that's all for this place. It doesn't seem to be associated with any quests and we don't even get a Quest Complete for clearing it of shit like in the Crypt.

I mean I guess technically that was a quest in that lots of people told us about how haunted and evil the place was.

Anyway, I take a quick dip back to the HQ to restore our MP, cos we're gonna need a lot of it.

If you recall, just this update we got the training quest to raise our defense by killing the dudes here.

Chaz will also just say he hopes these guys aren't too strong for us.

You guys are committed to this bit, huh.

When they go low, we go high. A winning tactic if I ever heard one.

Well, it works for Random in this case anyway.

We only fight two of these guys at once. The one facing the wrong way is a solo roaming encounter.

There's a bunch of cells in the front part of this area...

This is a very... something... joke, because there is nothing past him anyway. It's a total dead-end.

So why is it okay to kill these guys for training?

Hm. Still not equipping due to resistances.

Oh, there's dead people in the cells. And that's a little girl so these are like very evil murderers one way or another. I mean, say what you would about Random, but he'd never slay a child.

Some full-healing water pools!!!!

We make our way around and up to the second floor, slaying Metal Masters as we do.

We also find a noblewoman here. You can't do anything with her at any point but I bet this lady runs the place and is therefore incredibly evil.

Moving on, and slaying a dozen more Metal Masters...

We come just in time...

... to be picked up and tossed into an arena.

Yes, that is a little girl hanging from a noose tied to the ceiling.

Anyway, we have to fight this thing. 5k HP. Lots of resistances. I don't think it even has any weaknesses. Just hit it for laser stuff while Random hits it with his sword.

Random blasts the thing into its cell and it explodes.

This is the more dangerous battle of the two but it's still not very dangerous. I mean, the Metal Masters hit for 200 damage on Sarah which is most of her HP. And there's six of them. However, they are slow and we have Lava Wall and Random. Wendie is near useless here tbh if not for her status effect inflicting spells. Sarah's Green Laser/Razor Sun is helpful too.

Oooh yeah, we're still getting yet higher level elemental spells.

Pull another switch on the right side of the map...

And over on the left, we get another fight against six Metal Masters.

Oh!

We get one of Sarah's most iconic spells. And it's by far our most powerful spell right now, even dwarfing all of Luci's spells by a good 200 Power. Unfortunately it's only single target, though!

Another sixer...

When we enter the room behind them someone begins to talk to us.

The leader gets really upset so he sets his pet 'Felicia' on us.

Oh, Wendie...

Luci just says we'll fuck you up if we gotta. And we do gotta. And we do fuck her up.

I couldn't really tell you how the fight would go, since to my shock insta death got her right off, even though I know she has a lot HP and stuff. Oh well.

Yeah, yeah.

The guards are a set of three and then a pair. And... Well, what a goddamn awful Slayers, Wendie. I go over to the other side of the balcony and kill the guards there too.

yeah yeah, you're a monster

So. Zander. He is actually a very... not quite tough opponent. He's strong in a glass cannon kind of way. He is powerful both offensively and defensively, however he only has like 1700HP. Even with his high defenses, he only lasts three turns. R.I.P.

Random says he can believe it. Lame.

This is the party that would really need this tbh.

There's a fancy throne room behind where Zander was. Literally nothing in it, however.

I Egress back to the start of the dungeon.

The Cell Key only opens this one cell.

Random and co. don't react to this in anyway and there's nothing in the event besides this dialogue. Either this was some kind of quest Indy never finished or... I have no idea. He just says this over and over and I have no idea what the point of the Cell Key, our reward, opening this is.

One of the other cells was opened by a switch, though.

This is a new animal only stat up item. Similar to Orc Blood, but the numbers are switched around a bit.

And yeah, turning this quest in, we don't get anything and Ronan has no more training quests for us. Oh well!

Let's follow up on something some kind of mushroom creature told us. A very sickly guy that needs help in his home.

This must be the sick guy.

Oh.

So, unlike the last two people that turned into demons, this guy turned into an actual late game enemy so he is actually a threat to us.

Like this spell. It drains all of Randoms MP and ehh around half of everyones HP. Wendie also has little MP left after it's done with her.

Used as a boss fight though, this guy isn't too tough if you heal and buff. Doesn't resist much. He has about 4k HP which we've already dealt with a lot. Just have Random attack and Luci use Tera Freeze and Sarah use Sun Boomer Attack and you're golden.

yeah. Now I wanna talk to a certain mushroom again.

This is all he has to say about it! People certainly are going crazy! Wildlife too!!!

Oh well.

For the last real part of this update we're heading down past the Mod. Sci. Inst.

This rock here...

... is a dungeon.

An ants nest, with respawning monsters, at that. Fire Ants give Guanidia 3 Slayers points too. So it's the ideal place to grind them for him.

Hey! What about Tera Flare!

We find some Azura in the wall...

Oh fuck me. Fire ants always come in threes by the way. Each sprite is three too, not the way it usually works where three on the map would die. Also they can stack on each other so there's usually way more than there looks to be.

Very inspiring and reassuring, Sarah.

Five minutes in...

Bullshit. I suffer for this bullshit!!!!!

20 minutes later I can finally make a break for it and into the next room.

Dozens of battle still pursue me. I'd probably fought like well over 40.

IT IS! Sadly, we cannot Egress yet since there is more here.

I am going to regret this for the rest of my life.

Another 20 minutes later I finally jump down the hole.

Not sure whether to say I love you or why the fuck didn't you do that earlier you dumbass

Also those ant fights are worth 129XP each so that XP bonus isn't all that great.

This is all we suffered here for. Lol.

I finally Egress out, but we're not 100% done here yet.

This is self-harm.

Well, at least we're going into the next part of the story with one of the best spells in the series.

Guanidia's Meltdown is... interesting.

And Sarah learns a better rez spell.

Oh, this was totally wasted at such a low level lol.

When there's a few ants left I can finally make a break for it. This was after basically another 25 minutes lol.

Whew.

This is what we came for. Now, going back up will put us in the room we just jumped down the hole from.

Oh yeah. Every single ant respawns every time you leave and re-enter a particular map. lol, lmao.

I manage to get away much earlier this time, but it still takes like 15 minutes lol. I jump down that left hole now.

Fuck! They're down here too.

ARGH ITS A HUGE HORDE TOO

Luci learns her uber thunder spell too...

And Guanidia gets his 'I am unkillable if I am buffed' spell.

Also I have no idea when Luci got this.

I want to point out Slayers go to level 8, so Guanidia is now pretty close to being maxed. Or would be, if the eight level didnt have an exponentially huge requirement compared to the prior ones.

Thank fuck. Now I can leave.

We are absurdly overleveled now lol.

The Warlord Ring isn't even any good.

...

We got a lot done this update. Whew.

We don't get any reward for that nightmare either. Just access to the next quest.

We must find another lost relic to try grow the Guild of Fire membership, somehow. Apparently, this one was 'lost' one month ago.

Once again there is 0 leads as to its current whereabouts.

...

We won't be looking for it for a bit anyway. I could actually do some later game stuff right now due to being seriously overleveled, but ehhh. Let's do some of the main plot next update! I'm excited to get into it a bit more!

...

That fire ant dungeon took me two hours. That's more than the rest of this update combined.

Oh well. As I headed off with the 'sarcophage', I smiled because I -knew- it could have been worse than what already was one of the worst gameplay experiences of my life.

How, you ask? How could it possibly have been any worse than that?

Well, what if you'd wandered into that dungeon and cleared it all without getting the quest from the Guild of Fire?

The party won't take the 'Sarcophage' in that case. I know. I checked the event.

the end
