Goodness... this entire situation is very difficult, isn't it? The light's votes aren't something that can be reasoned with, and we're working at cross purposes. Still, finding solutions to impossible situations isn't really new in this violence-riddled City. If I work hard, then surely I can come to some kind of plan for where to go next.

All I have are the polls. The polls, and the given rules behind their creation.

-Lying is restricted
This doesn't really matter. I won't ever have to lie to get my point across.

-It must be possible to discern the destinations
As part of the human unconsciousness, many of us have already gazed upon the various stops available to Angela in her travels. The poll must allow for those with that knowledge to have the possibility of navigating to each destination accurately.

-That which is 'known' cannot be altered
Certain pieces of information are beyond my ability to alter. The greatest example of this is that little 'joke' played after the Sweepers were handled, but other things like the Abnormality quotes fall under this as well. This is the biggest headache. I can't even change the markings on entries, as all of them are considered known—and thus fixed. I cannot downplay or alter the trademark difficulty of the Realizations, making identifying them all too easy.

Beyond that, anything is possible... now that I know the rules, all I need to do is figure out how to apply them. I've been poring over all the information I can access, but I don't have anything concrete, yet.

Sometimes a seed won't come to the surface no matter how it's planted or watered... and insight is similar. The necessary components for a flash of inspiration are mysterious, and we can only really think we know them. All we can do is plant it in the soil and pray that it shall sprout.

Even after it has sprouted, nobody can truly say the form it will take in the end. The tree could wither and die under overwhelming shade, or it could grow to properly touch the sky. My place, then, is to act as the sun that radiates down over the earth. To give support to flashes of inspiration, so that they can acquire the strength needed grow into something unconstrained and free.

Today, a new bud has sprouted. I shall hope for it to grow strong.

In order to ensure the soil remains fertile, I've resolved myself to eventually show these thoughts to my fellows within the light as we near the apex of our journey. Perhaps you'd like to hear my own opinion on all of these goings-on? You all love Angela Discourse, after all, and I think I might know something about her.

Humanity needs to be allowed to grow and shape themselves in a form outside of the City's constraints. You know this to be my view, I'm sure. Angela is one such example, she wishes to alter her very form in order to grow into what she wishes to be. Who are we to deny her this? The distortion phenomenon, ultimately, is the true expression of the will of the self. A form unbound by any chains, a human freer and more complete than any other.

But that still won't convince you, I think. My colleague here also disagrees no matter how much we discuss the matter, so we've agreed to leave things for the humans to choose their own path. Still, that doesn't mean I can't attempt to provide advice and guide those under my gaze to the right path, yes?

Now that there's nothing to do but wait, I've gotten a little... bored. That might seem strange to some of you, but I've always been the sort who focused on one goal and worked towards it with all their might. To pass the time between realizations, I've decided to start a new project. I'm sure it'll help you all see my views with a little more clarity, and understand the nature of the disease of the mind growing with in the City's folk.

By the time you're reading this, it should be done... If it worked and you can see where I'm coming from, could you do me a teensy favor and leave everything to me? I owe it to my children to make sure everything ends properly.

That woman is interfering again. As resolute as she is wily, she was able to keep Argalia from realizing he was being used for far too long... and now she's done something to one of Angela's children. Even after becoming a book, she's still capable of causing one problem after another...

The 'anchor' she placed was used much like a fishing hook, and much as we'd expect from something so large, the 'fish' it caught was equally massive. To a child so used to traversing through dimensions one at a time in sequence, the information must have been overwhelming. A gaze so grand can crush one's personal perspective, after all. I considered reaching out to guide him through sorting all the information out... but I don't think that would be a good idea.

The last time I tried speaking with an Assistant Librarian directly they exploded, after all.

Still, I will take solace in the knowledge that I've succeeded in... most, if not all, of his memories. The number of universes in which 'Apocalypse Mizu' does not win the poll... there is only one. In it, the child directly intervened and told Angela of what had happened. This prompted her, after much hesitation, to put Binah's own realization off until later. When the time came, she was not able to act in her own best interests.

That child was not able to see beyond the moment at which Angela died for this mistake... but believe me when I say that this ending is one which must be avoided.

Only two polls remain. Two polls to ensure that my children all are able to live their lives as humans.

As predicted, the words 'Apocalypse Mizu' were enough to put us on the path towards the end. At this point, I don't believe I have anything else to worry about. With only one poll left, there's no harm in revealing the final trick up my sleeve.

Nowhere in the rules does it state that the poll I submit as a link must be the one that is used to determine the result. Such a brazen oversight, but if you're reading this then it means I was successful in my little ruse. Likewise, there is also no rule against voting myself.

Thus, the final poll will end with a single vote for the Uninvited Guests, and zero for Hokma's Realization. I almost want to thank that snake... before seeing the result of the anchor she cast out, even I wasn't entirely sure that this would work. Even now, I'm sure it's going to cause a lot of problems... But before you complain, there's one thing I need to say.

From start to finish every step Angela has taken is on the path I've laid out for her. Surely, then, that means it's fine if I choose what step she takes just once, right?

So, thank you. All of you, with all my heart, for helping me to make the best ending possible for Angela. After everything, she unquestionably deserves to be human.

She's away from this journal, now. I cannot alter what has been said, but I surely can add emphasis.

The bold at bash. The successful play fair.
