Okay, kicking things off this time, we're jumping straight into a boss fight!

Unlike the Dualhead Hydra, I'm far from optimistic about this guy.

This is actually less damage than I expected from Headoomerang... I expected at least 100 more from him.

He has plenty of HP though.

Apparently that was all he had going for him, though. Didn't even have anything useful.

This guy makes a bridge to the back door of Spencer's Place if you have the Thunder Rock. As you may recall from my initial info-dump, this is required to beat the game.

Well, if there's anywhere this spell should be sold, it's here, right? Eh, might as well- my spell list is kinda bad.

This thing in the northwest house's basement will take me to Fireburg for a bit.

Well, it's technically a spell, but I don't have much, if any, use for it.

Off to blow this place up with my Mega Grenades!

Well, this isn't as bad as that time I had a key locked in its own chest in LTTPR, at least. Too bad the only thing I think it opens is that Fireburg thing I just teleported to.

I hopped on a Mobius teleporter to get this redundant piece of crap.

Clearly I don't know this game as well as I'd like, because I missed an item battlefield over here last time. Least this'll be quick.

Not that it was particularly worthwhile, beyond appeasing my inner perfectionist by completing my Black Magic collection. Since I'm here, I'll check the locked chest in the back door of Focus Tower...

GO MODE! TO THE LAST BOSS, EVERYTHING ELSE BE DAMNED!

These are incredibly valuable in speedruns, since they completely refill the target's magic. Since I don't need anything else, I'll blow my life savings on stocking up.

The teleporter under Windia's northeast house takes you to the penultimate dungeon: Mac's Ship.

Yes, the ship that takes you to the last dungeon is a dungeon in itself. ...I feel really underlevelled, but I'm sure I'll gain a few levels just getting to the last boss.

...This is an incredibly cruel place to put this.

Well, he's as foul-mouthed as Kaeli, but at least I can understand him?

Off to the last dungeon! Yes, that tower you go through every time you want to switch regions is the last dungeon.

It has the best dungeon theme in the game, and an incredibly rude ninja blocking the way in.

Oh, hey, look what I found in the last possible location! This'll make blowing things up a lot faster.

Let the boss rush commence!

I was going to say that Exit came too late to be helpful until I remembered I could do this.

Open says me!

After an incredibly rude Water floor infested with unavoidable battles, I reach the boss.

Who is also vulnerable to this strategy. Too bad I actually need to fight the other two.

At least the Fire floor is kind enough to not put enemies in single-tile hallways.

Too bad that's the only kindness I expect here.

...Not as tough as I expected, really. Might just be a product of me being a slightly more credible level, or it might've just rolled down. Ah, well. Next!

This guy has an incredibly annoying "floor" where there really isn't enough floor there for enemies to randomize their locations out of your way. Let's see if he's as bad as his floor. (Post-completion edit: I forgot to screenshot him; oh well!)

Not really anything noteworthy, actually. Time for the last boss!

This guy is, I'm pretty sure, the only enemy in the game whose attack pattern changes depending on his HP.

He also hits like a freight train, and his attacks, from what I hear, don't actually scale with his stats so him rolling low won't help you survive him.

And in case you're familiar with vanilla glitches: The Cure glitch was patched out of the randomizer. You actually have to fight this guy.

His first phase was kinda flimsy, but now that it's over he's pulled out a few extra limbs.

Which turned out to be even flimsier- a single Flare made him switch to this. Incidentally, his appearance shouldn't be too surprising considering how many limbs he had.

I forgot to mention, but his stats are decided by phase, and in phase 3 it turns out he's ridiculously fast. Good thing I predicted this and queued up Life!

His response is to petrify Phoebe.

Near as I can tell, his attacks are the same as phase 3 here. Also, it turns out he's simultaneously an octopus and a spider.

Spider Kids... damn near one-shots me. I think I managed to get here at the bare minimum level for him to need a crit to one-shot me. Guess it's just as well that there were so many unavoidable enemies here, huh?

His Silver Web can confuse and poison; fortunately for me, it only works on Phoebe, though it's still a hefty attack even when the status is resisted.

Don't let the numbers fool you; this is a Fire-elemental attack, which Phoebe doesn't resist but I do. It can crit, though; I've seen it happen in races I've watched.

Aaaand dead. GG.
