Oboro x Reina C
Music: Shine in the Light
OBORO: A festival of mourning, huh? This is actually a lot prettier than I was expecting.
OBORO: I was just planning to just drop these orders off, but I may just-huh? Isn't that?
REINA: I pray that you're doing well. And I'm doing my best to hang in there for you...
OBORO: Reina?
REINA: Hm? Ah, Oboro.
REINA: Oh my, that's quite the large parcel. I see business is still going strong for you?
OBORO: Yeah. A lot of people wanted a new look for this event. I was just on my way to drop these off actually, but I'd be remiss if I just walked past you without saying hi.
OBORO: Er, I hope I wasn't interrupting anything...
REINA: No, I was just about done...
REINA: So how about I give you a hand with those? If nothing else I'd make good company.
OBORO: If it's not too much trouble, that'd be great, thank you!
REINA: Don't mention it.
OBORO: So... what brings you out to the festival if you don't mind me asking?
OBORO: Is it for your parents, or uh...
OBORO: Queen Mikoto?
REINA: Actually my parents are still very much alive. And while I did pay my respects to Queen Mikoto, among others, that wasn't the main reason I came here.
OBORO: I'm sorry, I don't mean to pry.
REINA: It's quite alright Oboro. It's only natural to be curious, especially in a place like this.
REINA: Heh, I'm actually interested to see if you can correctly guess who it is.
OBORO: Well, if not your parents or the Queen. I would have to guess...
OBORO: A special friend of yours...
REINA: Yes, that's a good way of putting it... A special friend... Her name was Himeko.
OBORO: I'm sorry for your loss.
OBORO: Wait... Himeko? Himeko... Himeko...
REINA: What is it?
OBORO: Oh, sorry, it's just... I knew a Himeko once...
OBORO: There was a lady by that name that frequented my parents shop for a time.
OBORO: Her order in particular kind of stuck out to me... It was for two bridal kimono.
OBORO: And the designs she suggested were... let's say... eccentric.
OBORO: Heh, I remember she had a pretty thick country accent too. She seemed embarrassed of it and tried, poorly, to hide it. It was kind of funny.
OBORO: Er, but that has nothing to do with you. Sorry...
REINA: You have nothing to apologize for Oboro.
REINA: That... was indeed my Himeko, accent and all.
REINA: It truly is a small world...
OBORO: Huh? B-but does that mean...
OBORO: That other kimono was for...
REINA: ...Sorry for being so coy about it, I don't really talk about that sort of thing often.
REINA: But yes, we were... involved.
OBORO: Well, I don't blame you. Things were a tad more... delicate when it came to that subject back then.
OBORO: Though you'd never guess it now, huh?
REINA: Hmm... things are quite different now, aren't they? Perhaps I no longer need to hide it.
OBORO: Well, if you want, we can meet up sometime for tea and you can tell me some stories about her.
OBORO: My relatives say that reminiscing about our departed loved ones can really help the healing process.
OBORO: And it certainly helped me...
REINA: That would be lovely but... I don't want to take any of your time. You always seem quite busy.
OBORO: For you two, I'll make the time.
OBORO: Besides I'm a sucker for romance stories!
