Random note: I hate this room when I can't double-jump.

Anyway, the top-left room here has another potentially-useful subweapon...

...and the top-right room has yet another bad armor item.

The swinging blades in the upside-down version of that room are easily bypassed through the power of being an owl, and I find a HP boost just above Legion.

The item that triggers Legion is just a bad Charlotte-exclusive helmet.

After a battle where I prove myself woefully underprepared for Legion, to the point of needing to take a mid-battle lunch break to survive (note to self: Mushroom and Corn Soup are nearly worthless, Foie Gras is at least 200 HP), I do manage to win through liberal application of the Wrecking Ball and Axe subweapons (and a Dark Rift to clear the bottom of the shell off).

Which means it's time for the next location. Didn't really find much in Fools, but at least it was a non-zero value, right?

Lightkeepers drop these. Meh.

And the Minotaur next to it drops a playing card. Worthless.

This guy was a pest. Not because of damage, because it's easy to not get hit by Poison Worms, but because he resisted damn near everything. Only thing that worked was Spirit of Light.

Dropped by a Demon Head. Finally, some worthwhile equipment! Good enough that I'll farm up a second pair for Charlotte despite dropping her Def a little. 15 Int is worth losing 2 Def, right?

Skipping the entrance to the area proper gets me some extremely sandy junk food- specifically one of the ones I raided from the bakery in Haze.

Flea Armor, Armored Fleaman, whatever you want to call 'em, the armor dropped another awkward subweapon to practice.

These would be nice if I was a speedrunner. Unfortunately, I'm an LP'er, and not a particularly skilled one at that.

Dropped by Slogra (the beaked spear demon of the duo- I can never remember which is which). Great for defense, at least. Not quite enough for me to be willing to use it, though.

He, that Flame Demon you see getting sucked into a black hole, and a Hill Guard were all crammed into a tiny cranny with this trash.

Said Hill Guard drops this.

Slogra's other drop is objectively worse than the first one I got.

Finally, the Flame Demon drops a whole lot of records...

...and some pretty mis-statted armor for Charlotte. Pretty sure she's not supposed to be a physical powerhouse...

Down here there's not much besides a second copy of this spell with a Skelerang standing on it.

There are drops, though. Like the Ghoul I burned the flesh off of to make that Skeleton there.

...y'know, after a fist with the whip animation, this isn't too surprising, is it?

Said Ghoul also has this thoroughly unimpressive helmet.

Got this from a Frog. It's actually pretty good; I'm gonna put two of these on Jonathan.

Oh, hey, Black Crows drop food! Gimme a bit to stock up...

Dragonflies drop another card. It's about as useful as you'd expect a non-magical playing card to be in a vampire's castle.

Quetzalcoatl (the annoying bouncing snake skeleton thing that's practically impossible to hit) drops yet another worthless axe...

...and a summoning spell with an awkward effect that can join Jonathan's awkward subweapons in the best grinding room.

Curry obtained by flying to the top-left corner of the same room.

This is a pretty good place to stop; I'm close enough to my quota, and happen to be right next to a save point.
