Okay, heading up from that first formerly-unexplored bit over there. I... don't need this spell. There's no need (or even use) for the toad when I've already got the owl, after all. I can only assume that it literally only exists because logic dictates that all potential movement upgrades must exist.

More useless equipment in this room.

Dropped from a Gaibon (the fire-breathing winged demon that works with Slogra as the first boss in SoTN). Not impressed.

Not much up here. (In case you're wondering where all my MP went, I got cursed.)

I don't expect to meet many enemies that use Holy in a vampire's castle.

And this is just worthless.

Down past the rooms where I was swarmed by Razor Bats in the failed seed. If you must use a buff spell, I suppose this is the best, but why would you use buff spells?

Note to self: Put this on next time I see something that inflicts petrification. Probably Medusa Heads, but...

...I feel like I'm approaching this door from the wrong direction. Oh well, long as the game doesn't care, I don't care.

Oh, the sword? Trash.

And no, the game didn't care that I entered this room from the back.

Another new spell to practice on the other end of that room. Kinda got shot by a Skeleton Gunman, but 1 damage is 1 damage, and I wasn't in a delicate position so the knockback doesn't matter either.

Bad.

...wasn't planning to fall all the way through to the bottom, but oh well. Not sure I want a birthday cake that's been stuck in the wall.

This is spectacular in its bad-ness.

HP.

This hallway has a Skeleton Blaze who starts out hovering dead center. He drops this, in case I want to hit a bit harder with my Valman-Final Sword. Too bad it's strictly inferior to the Lorica I already have sitting around.

He also drops yet another type of corset, which is about as useful as most such items.

Waddaya know, two portraits directly adjacent to each other. I can't get into the city-themed one (13th Street) without the other push upgrade, so to the desert I go!

Oh, hey, this subweapon's always good! And the element even makes a non-zero amount of sense!

(insert old cartoon reference here)

Defensive, but that's all I can say about it, and it's nowhere near defensive enough to make up for the massive drop in DPS.

Up first, for no particular reason.

I need this for Plot. Also, that "Red" element means it can kill Red Skeletons and Red Axe Armor, which means I can go back to the other desert to farm their drops later.

Begone, thot! (Or, if you're channeling Richter: "Die, thot! You don't belong in this world!")

...I'm not impressed, but it's better than like 2/3 of the stuff I get nowadays (probably lowballing here). Mostly because I don't need to equip it.

Eh, good enough. Calling it here for the session.
