Okay, back. Indiana Jones reference this may be, but it's still useless.

Bit further down for a HP boost (always handy; 5 HP can be the difference between life and death, as any gamer can tell you) and a new subweapon. It... well, it's a thing.

Not bad. Think I'll use this just for the range; the Long Sword, while good statistically, doesn't go very far.

Another worthless hat.

THERE'S the stationary summon thing! Not that it does me much good; I think there's only like one place I can even do anything with it left, and that place is just unlocking a shortcut.

Oh, and another booster.

Random crap lying around after a cutscene that starts with Brauner panicking. One's redundant, and the other's generic.

A portrait guarded by a laser trap. Gonna need to be quick to not get zapped on the way out (or just ticket, but the odds of me remembering I have it are pretty much 0).

Also: New spell. A good one, even; full-screen projectile with a gigantic hitbox that isn't stopped by walls? Yes please. Being Holy is ironic considering the name, but who's counting?

Does this, combined with the Kunai and regular Shuriken, count as Jonathan having delusions of ninjutsu?

Not very impressive.

Technically helps, but not interesting.

Not impressive either, but it'll keep me going a tiny bit longer if I get into another bad fight.

In case you're wondering about the Beret, I just killed a Frozen Shade.

Well, Medusa Heads drop plenty of food. Unfortunately, equipping the Mirror Cuirass doesn't seem to help with the petrification. Damn false advertising...

More bad armor.

And a spectacularly bad weapon.

This... well, this is a thing.

I find a random Red Skeleton wandering around here, and decide to get their drops out of the way immediately. Or, well, as much so as possible when the only way to kill them is a spell that takes 10 seconds to cast.

Well, at least the food's potentially useful, right? Even if it's only 29 HP and thus outclassed by some (or, well, most, probably) of my other healing items...

After accidentally mastering Sanctuary while farming Red Skeletons for food, off to the next portrait. Got this from a Mandragora.

Unrelated, but have I mentioned how much I love the music that plays here? Because it's awesome; I think it's the best in the game.

Cash and a spare knife.

Also known as Walk Armor in SotN. Note to self: Double-check after this area to see if it still works as advertised.

Oh, and you'd better believe I Sanctuary the hell out of that Red Axe Armor, too.

Even if the drops turn out to not be worth it.

Heading back to the entrance of this building (remember, you need to go in the window because the lock only opens from inside) nets me yet another worthless helmet from one of the back rooms.

Well, if anyone wants to call this game a ROM hack of Dawn of Sorrow, here's all the evidence they need.

False ceiling hiding cash; bet someone's done this sometime in real life. (I shouldn't need to say this, but just in case: please don't say if this is you.)

More dessert; pretty sure I got this from that bakery way back when.

It's about at this point that I realize if I don't stop now I'll go way overboard. I'll just farm up the other drop from Mandragoras (since I forgot they might have one the first time), take the opportunity to level up Piercing Beam since the Minotaurs give 10 points each and there're like 3 of them on the path leading to the first building...

...and then stop here.
