Turns out "next time" was written sooner than expected. Anyway, Skull Archers give a supply of fish bones to throw at things. Meh.

Manticores aren't remotely useful for farming in this seed. I don't remember plant souls being useful (though to be fair I don't remember using them), and even if they are good I don't have any right now.

I find the Puppet Master soul in a stand in the bottom-left corner of the area I can access. This would be more useful if I couldn't fly.

Oh, and there's a Combat Knife behind that wall, for whenever I figure out how to get over there.

Slaughterers (the weaker version of the Hell Boars from the drawbridge area) give giant sawblades, which would be more useful if I could throw them (which only happens when I've farmed my way up to 9 of the damn things). To be fair, though, it does rip through anything in melee range, so there's that going for it.

Speaking of Hell Boars, there's a Golem below the Slaughterer room to drop more of them, just to be thorough.

Dropped from a Slaughterer. Surprisingly powerful.

Their other drop... not so much.

Balore's in the bottommost room of the area. He's easy.

The soul he drops is pretty much worthless (as opposed to Peeping Eye souls, which are actually worthless).

I find The Creature (a respawning normal enemy rather than a boss in this game) in his room on a revisit, and eventually convince him to drop his soul. It's... not worth it.

I didn't know what that Gungner behind the wall was at first, so I had to look it up. Wanna bet it's worthless whenever I make my way around to pick it up?

Gee, thanks, secret room, something I literally started the game with, just what I always wanted (/sarcasm).

Off to the Gardens. Soma really shouldn't've eaten that Une; it gave him severe halitosis.

Never water your crops with Holy Water; they may get pissed off, grow into Treants, and kick you in the groin.

If Une gives halitosis, Corpseweed is, apparently, cartoonishly spicy.

Mandragora's drop is the Valmanway. Which has an attack animation, and is thus vastly weaker than usual, but I'll try it anyway.

Insert Captain Falcon meme here.

Map, for the zero people who care.

Why does a giant poisonous slug give me a scorpion tail?

Soma + demonic bull = hulking demonic bodybuilder. Sure, why not, I've had less sensible things happen this seed.

Yorick drops Great Armor... okay then.

Bad spear.

Ironically, Skeleton Farmers let me summon aforementioned giant poisonous slugs.

I'm more interested in their pancakes.

Oh, and I hope you'll forgive me for not showing off the soul I got from the Mimic; I think this thing costs HP to use.

Found a Rycuda. It gave me another familiar soul.

Off to the top-left of the area to find a throwing knife (which is, for once in the series, not a subweapon). ...Was this Grant's?

Well, that's a meal, I guess. Not very helpful to me, but still.

Worthless armor in a secret room again.

Barbariccia's soul drop doesn't look particularly useful, but it does give me something to use those Skeleton Farmer souls for.

And that's enough for one update.
