Kura5 Tips

General Advice
- Petting: In addition to Nero, you can also pet most NPCs, including Raven!Emil, Cody, Aurelia, and some defeated bosses. The Mettaurs in the side dungeon Shadow of the Network can also be pet, yielding some extra dialogue.
- Assimilation: Emil can absorb Dark Matter that scatters after his attacks to refill his ENE while using the Dark Lens.
- Witch Huntresses: Huntresses are more defensive than most enemies. The best way to deal with them is to use a counter-hit strategy by targeting them and attacking when the cursor turns pink. This is easier to perform with Emil than Annie, though Annie can easily dispatch them by rapid-fire sniping them from behind. Be mindful not to use SOL element against them.
- Free Food: Speaking to NPCs around San Miguel will occasionally yield free food for Annie due to her rapport with the townspeople, particularly Al. Speaking to them again as Emil may also sometimes yield additional food.

Weather/Moon
- Side Quest [An Old Friend]: Available after La Lupe is defeated; takes place on a Full Moon. At night, visit the lower right room of the Ruins near the Aqueduct. Speak with the NPC a few times for a summon upgrade and the ability to charge in moonlight.
- Item [Mooncake (Full/New)]: Available after La Lupe is defeated; takes place on a Full/New Moon. On the Phantom Train, Aurelia will stop her sale of Mooncake (Half) and sell the appropriate cake corresponding to the current state of the Moon.
- Rare Item #1: Available in Act 5 during rainy weather. Revisit the site at the beginning of the game where Annie first met La Lupe. Approaching the nearby duck will cause it to drop an item.

Act 1 (La Lupe)
- Side Quest [Weird Lady #1]: To the right of the Town Outskirts, there is a screen with a vampire enemy. Further down and to the left is a rock with a leaf atop it. Pet the rock for a surprise and follow the NPC to find a pair of clogs where they disappear.
- Advice [Survivor Camp]: Requires Emil and the Flame Lens. It's also best to save the dungeon for after La Lupe in order to unlock item shops. A Witch Huntress in San Miguel may also be interacted with and spawns an optional enemy at the camp if spoken to.
- Magic [Violin]: Talk to Luthier inside of the left tent in the Survivor Camp after defeating the boss.
- Magic [Change-Leviathan]: Talk to Annie's rightmost bookshelf in San Miguel as Emil. This form can also be shown to the white skeleton in the Aqueduct trap for a cash reward. This spell is missable until NG+ after a certain point and should be obtained as soon as possible.
- Side Quest [Red Book]: Next to Buddy in the Ruins near the Aqueduct. Yields the South Scroll later.
- Side Quest [Rosetta #1]: Requires the Cloud Lens. Talk to Locke at the Smith shop after defeating La Lupe, then go to the rightmost entrance in the Tomb of Wadjet and use the raven path.
- Side Quest [Zed's Quest]: After meeting Zed in the Aqueduct's Trap, talk to the plaque at the entrance of the Aqueduct on the right wall. Show it to Locke, place it back at the Aqueduct entrance, then return to Zed. After leaving, he will begin to sell extremely cheap Mandrake items.

Act 2 (Von Linnell)
- Advice [Oakley]: Summon Annie's Vorn to steal from Oakley during the battle with him. This item can be returned to him later for a reward.
- Advice [Phantom Train]: You can return to San Miguel at will after reaching the Phantom Theatre.
- Side Quest [Purple Book]: In the back of the Phantom Train's ethereal space with floating luggage. Yields the West Scroll later.
- Side Quest [Merlot]: During the second Immortal dungeon, shoot the slime during the first movie. Afterwards, speak to Frederick in San Miguel for a free coffee.
- Side Quest [A New Film]: After Von Linnell's defeat, buy tickets from the trench-coat NPC near Holliday in the Dark City. Once the dungeon is completed, an additional reward can be found in the main theatre building.
- Weapons/Magic [Lunar Knights]: In San Miguel, the Solar Bank main building features a backroom with Toasty, who will accept five passwords for bonuses: tVCLpeyK2GulI75mMGGHZ?SvFmMOkYRG9G3HJeCv (Stellennium Solar Gun), S1JKWB4qeHmNQaH9oQepY?SvFWOGY6RR9G3HJeCv (Vanargand Dark Blade), FUDy6RMnWbXH3Sa7bE4rHenROavcPBcnfCv2GOnB (Mini-Toasty Summon), MEGAMANEXEJACKING=INSCILABVIRUS?TERMINAL (Bunny Virus Summon), BALROG=EXEPUNCHYPUNCRINGNDING?BLAZNG2004 (Champy Virus Summon)
- Side Quest [Rosetta #2]: Talk to Locke after defeating Von Linnel, then use the rightmost entrance of the Phantom Theatre where the mini-game took place, then take the stairway on the right.

Act 3 (Patience)
- Advice [Miasma Shop]: The Miasma Zone shop sells free Rotten Fruit, making it a valuable tool for gardening.
- Side Quest [Tapp's Quest]: Inspect the toy blocks on the right shelf of the Miasma shop. The Sola Cola, Earth Fruit, and Speed Shroom can be bought in San Miguel. The stroopwafel is obtained in Act 4 and yields money, but is optional.
- Side Quest [Blue Book]: Requires the Blue Key from an invisible chest near the toy soldier in the hallway; locked behind the gate in the block puzzle of the Huntress Outpost. Yields the North Scroll later.
- Side Quest [Rosetta #3]: Talk to Al after defeating Patience, then take him to Locke, open the red door in the Lunar Mines, and inspect the rightmost golem behind it.
- Side Quest [Optional Dungeon]: In the Miasma Zone, a path to the northwest may lead to a forested area. Continuing through this region eventually leads to a side dungeon with a valuable prize.

Act 4 (Jobim)
- Side Quest [Green Book]: In the northwest of the room with the faucet puzzle in the vampire infested section of the Aqueducts. Yields the East Scroll later.
- Side Quest [Library]: With all four missing books retrieved, visit the library in Buddy's Ruins. Completing the dungeon puzzles will yield the C-Shadow spell (Emil), the Holy Beast summon (Annie), and four scrolls with command inputs for the Holy Beast.
- Side Quest [Weird Lady #2]: At the Gaea Scrapheap, pet the large armadillo with a leaf atop it and follow the NPC to find a pair of clogs where they disappear.
- Side Quest [Weird Lady #3]: At the Survivor Camp, pet the old man with a leaf atop his head. This time, there are no clogs to pick up.
- Side Quest [Vorn Matriarch]: Tasty Meat is sold by Cody and Aurelia after finishing Tapp's Quest, though respawning chests in the Tomb of the Wadjet also have some.
- Advice [Shopkeepers] Engaging with Dora in Act 4 or Act 5 after running into Cody will trigger a cutscene change in the final dungeon.
- Advice [Pit Stop]: In the room with ivy growing out of the walls, Annie can use the Earth Lens to open a pathway to Al, who will share some food. Inspecting his pot of soup will yield an additional item. This might be dependent upon completing the previous Rosetta side quests.
- Advice [Immortal]: The thermostat works like the weather mechanics from Lunar Knights. High temperature makes Jobim Overheat faster and recover slower, but his attacks are stronger. The opposite is true for low temperature. Neutral temperature maintains the default state of the battle.
- Advice [Post-Pile Driver]: During the escape from Terra City, Sentinels can be made to respawn by leaving and entering rooms where they appear. They have a chance of dropping Miracle Pommes for a full heal when defeated. Al can also be visited to the right of the room with the vines for a second helping of soup and a stroopwafel.

Act 5 (Loptr)
- Side Quest [Weird Lady #4]: After meeting her the previous three times, Issa will appear in the backroom of the Hunter Camp building that Violet and her cats are in. Pet her one last time and she will open a shop.
- Side Quest [What a Beautiful Duwang]: After Annie rejoins Emil, Bianca can be spoken to about going on a date. Choosing the correct response for all six outcomes will yield a unique item.
- Side Quest [Rosetta #4]: Revisit Al's soup room in Terra City after speaking with Mac at the Smith shop for an optional dungeon. After the dungeon, an item vendor will appear at the Smith's shop.
- Rare Item: Only available on New Game +. When going through Act 4's dungeon, the room with laser traps has an optional pathway to the southwest. Follow it to get to a private room, which houses an item that prevents sun damage to Emil.
