Apologies for the large pictures. Future chapters will be more manageable.
First, we need to select our Main Character!
On the left we got Joshua Radcliffe, aka Josh, and on the right we got Cliana Rimskaya, or Rim for short. You might recognize them from The Second Super Robot Wars Original Generation (for the PS3) but this is where they made their debut. For the purposes of the main playthrough, I’ll be playing as Josh. The non main routes will be played by Rim.
Now we need to select our mecha of choice for good ol’ Josh.
We got 2 “Real” types and 2 “Super” types to choose from. Real is an archetype that usually means weaker weaponry and HP values, but speedier, hard to hit, and longer range. Super is the opposite; slow and bulky but close range. Let’s go over the choices.
The Aile Chevalier. Josh’s canon mech in the OG series. Speedy and hard to hit with a grounded melee focus. This will be my choice for Josh’s story.
The Blanche Neige. Similar to the Aile Chevalier in that it’s a Real type, but it’s focus is on long range attacks and flight.
The Ganador. The melee Super focused robot of the selection.
The Strega. You can guess it’s the ranged Super robot and you’d be correct. This will be Rim’s robot during her non-canon playthrough.
Of note, no matter who and what you choose, the other protagonist will end up joining you in the opposite robot (Chevalier and Blanche, Ganador and Strega). So Canon Josh will be joined by Rim in the Blanche and non-canon Rim will be joined by Josh in the Ganador. Blue mech = melee and yellow = ranged which fits their respective playstyles. Of course you can put them in ill fitting mechs as a joke/challenge. You can also freely change the character’s, the mech’s, and their attacks’ names however you want before you verify your selection.
Let’s get started.
In the Space Age, humanity has expanded its living space to the universe…
In the year 109 of the Space Age, humanity encountered the Zentradi, a warfarring race, and was plunged into the first space war in human history. The war ended when a settlement was made with some of the Zentradi and the destruction of their fleet, but the war spread to the surface and the Earth was devastated.
With the cooperation of the Zentradi, the Earth Unified Government began a plan to regenerate the Earth, accelerate the migration of its people to space colonies, and advance plans to colonize outside the Solar System using the Zentradi technology.
However, as the Earth’s environment began to recover, a movement to return to Earth occurred. Centered on government officials and the privileged classes, the population on the Earth began to increase again.
In the year 123 of the Space Age, monsters called Invaders suddenly appeared at a lunar research facility whose purpose was to use Getter Radiation to create infinite energy. After a fierce battle, the Earth Unified Army destroyed the Invaders. Many colonies were damaged in this battle, but the Unified Government did not protect these people.
In the year 129 of the Space Age, the colony group Side 3, which suffered damage in the Invader War, declared independence under the name The Principality of Zeon. They challenged the Unified Government, which didn’t care about spacenoids, to a war of independence. However the Principality was defeated.
In the year 133 of the Space Age, Dr. Saotome, a leading researcher of Getter Radiation, suddenly rebelled against humanity. The “Saotome Rebellion” ended when the Unified Army bombed the center of the rebellion with a deuteron missile, but as a result, Getter Radiation contamination spread around the planet. The seemingly destroyed Invaders began to appear again.
The United Forces were weakened by internal conflicts and battles with the Zeon remnants based on the asteroid Axis. With the help of the Romefeller Foundation, a group of privileged Europeans, the military was quickly reorganized.
In the year 145 of the Space Age, a military coup was initiated by OZ (Order of Zodiac), a secret organization formed within the Unified Forces by the Romefellers. The government was overthrown and the Earth Sphere Government was established.
Meanwhile, in space, colonies took advantage of this chaos to actively seek autonomy and independence. The Zanscare Empire on Side 2 and Neo Zeon on Side 3 declared their founding, and the Earth Sphere entered an era of space wars.
Then… during the Neo Zeon operation to drop the asteroid Axis onto Earth, an event occurred that shocked all of humanity…
Prologue: The Day the Earth Disappeared
13 years ago in the mountains…
We find ourselves in a transportation truck, heading through a heavy storm. This is a flashback during the Saotome Rebellion mentioned in the opening crawl.
What on earth is that commotion? And this cargo…
You see, we, the surviving members of the Getter Team, were called in. This isn’t normal. After all, three years ago it was a stormy night just like this…
Don’t talk about that
But you don’t believe he killed the Professor, do you?
Forget about it. It’s better this way. And forget that Michiru is dead too.
[insert weapons firing and explosions here]
Whaaaaat?
What's that…Invaders?!
It can’t be. They should have been wiped out 10 years ago!!
[More weapons and explosions]
Dammit, we can’t take more of this!
Oh, it seems we were carrying something remarkable. Benkei, take over driving! I’ll show those monsters something!
Got it!
Let’s go, Getter 3! We won’t hand over this cargo to you monsters!!
[Battle sounds, more explosions]
Hah…hah… what’s that?
Hahahahaha! I’ll be taking this back, Musashi, Benkei!
It can’t be… the doctor should have died 3 years ago…what on earth… is going on…
Later, at the United Forces base
What’s going on? This base…
Sold: There was an abnormal Getter Rays activation reaction on Mt. Asama and enemy forces have appeared. The confirmed enemy mobile weapon is…Getter G.
What!?
Sold: The advance Valkyrie squadron has already been destroyed. The mixed mobile forces are engaging now. Getter Robo has also been deployed.
Getter? Who’s on board? A pilot in training?
Sold: Ummm… On order from above, it’s A-Class prisoner Ryoma Nagare
What? They let Ryoma free?
Transition to battle map
Hahahahahaha. I have risen from the depths of hell! To bring about armageddon! Come, confess at the final dawn!
Shut up, old man!
Heats plays. Banger alert.
It can’t be…Ryoma?
It’s been a while, old man! I don’t know how you came back to life, but this time I’ll finish you off!
I’ll give you credit for making it here, traitor!
Shut up! I haven’t forgotten what you were trying to do with the Getter Rays. You have to die!
…Did you say that to Michiru too?
Shut up!! It’s true that things weren’t going well between you and me back then. But everything to do with Michiru was an accident!
An accident?! You’re still going on about Michiru’s death, my daughter’s death, being an accident! I won’t forgive you, Ryoma!!
Shut up!!
[Ryoma gains 30 will]
Welcome to the battle map! We’ve got a lot to talk about. First up, we got the current map, the Saotome Research Facility and it being surrounded by hostile Getter Dragons
And on our side is the man himself, Ryoma Nagare!
Going on the left we got the name (Getter-1), its HP and EN, its movement typing (Sky/Earth), and its terrain rankings. The terrain rankings go from S-rank to C-rank. I’ll cover how terrain ranks impact combat later. But right now, Getter-1 has S in sky, B on ground, C in water, and A in space. And below all that is Ryoma’s mug, name, level, and will. Will impacts what weapons you can use, how much damage you deal, and how much damage you take. The higher the will, the better in every aspect. Of course if your HP hits 0, the character dies. There is no perma-death in this game.
Normally I’d talk about Getter-1 right now, but we don’t get to keep him. I’ll go over units and characters when they permanently join our army. Being a main character, Ryoma is good.
Let’s get started by attacking the Getter Dragon in front of us.
This is the pre-combat screen. Our unit on the right, the enemy is on the left. Since we haven’t encountered (or use the Scan spirit) yet, their stats are all question marks. Top bars are the HP and EN values. Below that is the unit's name and the attack being used. In this case our Getter-1 is using “Spiral Getter Beam” and the Getter Dragon is using “Double Tomahawk Boomerang”. Below that shows the pilots’ names (Artificial Intelligence for them, Ryoma for us), their levels, wills, and the hit chance. The bottom middle window lets us initiate the attack, select supporters (we’ll cover that later), change counter-attacking options if we’re the ones being attacked, and if you want to watch the animations.
-240902-113947.png)
The game just started so go all out!
Pressing A on an empty space brings up the Main Menu. From the top it goes End Phase, Troop List, Objectives, Spirit Search, System Settings, and Save. You get one save slot but you can save whenever you want. To quick load you just need to do L+R+A+B+Start to go to the title screen.
This is the settings menu. I turned the grid on because I prefer it that way. You can also change if you want to view animations, how you want certain buttons to work, and if you want to distribute Pilot Points manually or every time. We’ll cover that later.
We end our turn and the Getter Dragon in front of us attacks. We counter attack, killing it. Ryoma rushes to the facility.
As expected of the former Getter leader… he’s no joke.
I’ve got you!
[Screen rumbles]
What?
Hahahaha! You ignorant fool. Listen carefully, this is the fate that all those who are involved with the Getter must bear!
Who cares! All I need to do is kill you. You who tore our comrades apart for your own selfish reasons. And Hayato… wait what?
[More shaking. All the Getter Dragons separate and fly into a single spot near the bottom of the map]
Did you see that, Ryoma? This is what will bring about armageddon on Earth! Its name is…
CHANGE GETTEEEEER!! SHIN DRAGOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON!!
Gou… I’ll protect you. I won’t let that mistake happen again.
What is that giant monster? Shin…Dragon!?
[Enemy Getter Dragons, Ligers, and Poseidons appear]
Dammit… old man!
[Getter-2 appears]
Getter…Getter-2?
[Getter-3 appears]
Getter-3 too?
That’s enough, doc. If you go any further than this, there’s no turning back.
That voice, Musashi? So the one piloting Getter-2 is…
…
Hayato! You bastard!
Ryoma…I’m sorry... I’m so sorry.
What did you say? Do you think that will be enough, Hayato?
It’s true that I was a fool. Yes, I followed the doc’s words…
Hahahaha, it’s too late now.
That’s right… which is why I’ll settle this with my own hands!!
[Enemy Invaders spawn to our south]
What? Invaders?!
That’s right… It’s as you see
But they were wiped out on the moon! There was no sign of them during the One Year War either!
Ryoma, we’ll talk about that later!
Dammit, wait up Hayato!
Ryoma, stop getting too involved without knowing anything!
Why not? I don’t care about that! But they made me go through hell! I’m getting rid of this grudge!
[Hayato and Musashi gain 30 will]
-240902-114011.png)
Introducing Getters 2 and 3. Again, we don’t keep them so I’m not going in depth about them. Just know that Getter-2 is the speedy-land one and Getter-3 is the tanky-water one. Getter-1 is the powerful-sky one. Normally they would be a single unit that can transform between each other, but this is Armageddon plot and a flashback at that.
Anyway it’s still the enemy’s turn so we just counter attack everything. The Saotome Institute is special terrain where anyone on it gets +30% Defense and Evasion, as well as +20% HP and EN regen at the start of your turn. If you’re flying, you only get the regen and not the Def/Evasion boost but that’s still major survivability. Getter-1 has an S in the air so it’s more beneficial to keep it flying. The dashes in Getter-2 and 3’s terrain means they cannot fly.
Once all the rogue Getter G machines and Invaders are dead, the Getter Team moves inside the Saotome Laboratory.
Musashi, because of your injuries please wait out here. Protect us with Getter!
Hey, Ryoma, wait!
[Black screen]
Old man, where’s Hayato?!
Ryoma…
What?! What on earth is that…
Hehehe, this is the last Getter… Shin Getter Robo.
Shin…Getter?!
Ryoma, that Shin Dragon was my dream. But everything… no. I won’t make any excuses.
Yea… come to think of it, I was an idiot too. I was just fooled by your words… No, not exactly your words…
What do you mean, Hayato! Explain it so I can understand!
There were two more people with Shin Getter besides Gou… me and you… So at that time I…
[Major shaking]
Inconceivable, Shin Dragon is moving!? Gou, what’s happening?!
They’re coming… the enemy is coming…
No, Shin Dragon’s Getter Rays aren’t enough yet!
[A nearby monitor turns on, it’s Benkei]
Ryoma, you’re there aren’t you? It’s me, Benkei.
Benkei?!
Listen carefully, the United Forces General Staff has decided to go ahead with ground hazard elimination mode. A deuteron missile has been launched at Saotome Institute. The entire area will be destroyed.
What? When will it hit?!
Is that you Hayato?! It will hit in five minutes. You gotta get out of there too!
If they drop that they’re idiots. It’ll just jump start Shin Dragon.
Dammit, we have to do something about that missile… Musashi, I’ll leave the rest to you. Gou and Ryoma, get on board!
What!?
Ryoma, here’s my gun. I’m giving it to you. You can do with it as you like to me, but only after this is over. I won’t run away. For now, we have to stop the missile!
[The three get inside Shin Getter]
This cockpit is bare bones. We can do this Hayato.
Gou, just sit inside Unit 3!
…
Let’s go! Getter Wiiiiiiiiing!
[13 years ago, in satellite orbit]
Can you see it, Stinger? That’s what we’ve been looking for.
Yes, I can see it, Cowen. That’s what we’ve been dreaming of.
As expected of Saotome. You’re the top Getter Ray scientist.
Damn, what power! Gou, you’re not dead are you!?
…
Hayato: Looks like there’s no need to worry. We’ve just been getting older. The missiles are coming, Ryoma!
Is that it?! What… there’s a human on board it?!
Dammit it’s those guys… Ryoma, hurry up! Drop the missiles on them!
Ok! GETTER SCYTHE! Uooooooooooooooooooo!!
[Attack sounds]
You idiots! We were trying to fix this!
Do you really want us to get hit by a missile?
Stop it? Those morons…are they…Invaders!?
You’re too late. This is…terrible!
You’ve done something irreparable. Now the Earth will pay for it. Hahahaha, farewell!
Dammit, we’re not going to make it!
Ryoma, switch to Getter 2! We’ll use Getter 2’s speed!!
[Impact]
Wooooooooooooooooooooooo!!
[Everything fades to white]
[The present, Antarctica]
Oh my god Cliff, what are you doing now…
I told you to hurry up, didn’t I? Maybe something happened to your father…
If that were the case, he would have contacted us. Besides, it doesn’t matter what happens to my father. There’s no point in going back to the research facility.
Brother…but…
BESPA of the Zanscare Army is setting up a base on the surface and OZ’s pressure is getting tougher. It’s not a good idea to leave the League Militaire now.
Yea… I know that Woowig in the Special District was attacked too… maybe it was BESPA or OZ that did the attack?
They’re not going out of their way to come to Antarctica. A place like this isn’t of much value to them. It’s probably the same as it was six months ago
Brother… aren’t you worried about your father? You used to help him out a lot. When you started piloting this, it wasn’t because Cliff told you. You said it was because you were protecting your father and all of us…
I didn’t know that the Invaders have been lurking around since the Saotome Rebellion 13 years ago. It was him who made you like this, Rim. I left Re-Tech because I couldn't trust any of them.
Bro, we don’t really care. It’s been the two of us for so long, neither of us knows who was the original owner of this body.
Stop switching suddenly.
Haha, sorry. It’s because bro was talking about us.
…Did you want to stay there?
Nah. Chris and I would rather be with you, bro. I get why you made a deal with the League Militaire to get away from OZ and BESPA. But…we love dad too.
…
What’s wrong, bro?
…I was wondering if I should leave you behind when we get back.
Hey, why are you saying that!
BESPA and OZ… the fighting is getting tough. At least here it’s only the occasional Invader.
I don’t want to go, but I am worried about dad.
(Liana, tell brother I don’t want to go either)
Chris says she doesn’t want to either. I’ve been taught how to pilot this robot so I won’t be a hindrance. If you leave us here, we’ll chase after you.
Fine… Looks like a blizzard is coming. Let’s hurry.
If you couldn’t tell, Rim has split personalities. Chris is the kinder looking one who talks more politely. Liana is the rougher, more informal one.The difference is in the eyes. Thankfully this game has only like one mugshot per person so it’s easier to tell who is who.
[Meanwhile in a Neo Zeon colony]
…
[Door opens and closes]
Char?! Is it true you dropped 5th Luna on Earth?!
…Next is Axis.
?! Are you out of your mind?! If we drop something like that on Earth, it will bring about a nuclear winter and make the surface uninhabitable!
Calm down, Amuro. Axis is under OZ control. It should be difficult for the Neo Zeon fleet to secure it.
Axis will be handed over to us. The transfer has already begun.
What did you say?
The Romefellers are only capable of calculating profit and loss on the surface. If we show the bureaucrats of the so-called Unified Earth Sphere Nation even a single bar of gold, things will move forward.
No way… it can’t be that simple. Even the Romfellers would know that it’s dangerous to even themselves.
That’s right. So the condition is that the Neo Zeon fleet will disarm and surrender to OZ. In exchange, they will recognize the Neo Zeon government and hand over Axis to us to use for colony development. It will help with unemployment among the soldiers.
You mean they believed such a stupid story?
In the end, that’s the extent of their understanding, Amuro. Delmail and the others are overconfident that our fleet’s military strength can’t do anything. It’s to our advantage that Treize Khushrenada has fallen from grace. That man might have seen through our plan.
Then…
We’ll take Axis. But the OZ mobile dolls are troublesome opponents for pilots with little combat experience. Amuro, Bright, cooperate with me.
You’ve got to be kidding me! Char, do you realize what you’re trying to do!?
I know, Amuro. The people who live on Earth only think about themselves. That’s why I will annihilate them.
Punishing other people? That’s selfish.
The time has come when the Earth will no longer be able to endure. Getter Ray contamination is only one cause.
I’m grateful that you detected OZ’s coup in advance and protected us and our families. However, this is a different matter. We fought together in the Gryps War, but I cannot cooperate with such a plan.
There are many people on Earth who have nothing to do with politics. I cannot allow Axis to fall on Earth. Even if it means killing you here and now…
[Door opens and closes again]
I’d appreciate it if you'd refrain from doing that, Captain Amuro Ray. If you can’t cooperate, I’ll put you under house arrest until the end of the operation.
You’re a member of the Specials…
Ugh… Wait, Char!
[Back in Antarctica, inside the Ruins Research Facility]
Nice to meet you two.
I wouldn’t have come here if you hadn’t asked me to. So, what is it?
Leave that thing in the hangar first. It looks like it’s working well.
Yea. It’s useful for surviving outside. Did you know that Zanscare’s BESPA forces are setting up forward bases around Europe?
I know. They’re fighting the Invaders. They’ve even hired a few pilots from the Unified Military who fled the OZ coup.
[Inside the facility]
Ugh, it’s cold. I’ll go make some hot chocolate.
Don’t make it too strong. So, what’s going on, Cliff?
The truth is, it was Professor Radcliffe who called you guys. He had me contact you because he thought you wouldn’t respond if he contacted you himself. Of course I had to do it.
My dad? What do you mean?
It seems he’s made progress on getting the device on the lowest level to work, so he asked me to call you guys. He’s been holed up down there a lot lately.
The gate… the one my dad calls Fores. Is that why he’s called us back?
Maybe he wanted to show you guys his results.
That’s just like him. Only for his own convenience. So, what is it?
I’ll show you later. For now, get some rest.
Here’s some cocoa. Sorry bro, it seems like Chris put in a little too much.
I told her.
It looks like she made some for Cliff too. Do you want it?
Yeah, I’ll have some. I like it strong.
Right. Hold on a minute.
Josh… is she still like that? I mean they.
Yeah… same as before.
I see… I thought that if I left here, something might change…
When I was in the League Militaire, I explained to those around me that the shock of the war gave her a split personality.
Well, that’s easier to understand. The reality is that we don’t actually know what Professor Radcliffe did.
Cliff… about that.
Right, sorry.
[ALERT]
Numerous Invaders have appeared around the facility. Please mobilize defense teams.
Oh dear, not again. There seem to be more of them this time. Josh, I’m sorry but could you please sortie?
Got it!
Josh, I’ll leave the area to you. I’ll send out someone as soon as I can.
Time for the second half of the prologue. Here’s what we’re dealing with
Blue represents my forces. Small red squares are hostiles. The large red square is the base right behind us. It has the same properties as the Saotome Lab (30% Def/Eva, 20% HP/EN regen) so just park on top of it and wait for them to come to me.
We do have our first permanent unit though. Let’s talk about it!
The Aile Chevalier piloted by Joshua Radcliffe. As explained earlier, it’s a real type meaning it’s more on the evasive and fast side. It can’t fly or be underwater, but it does have the rare movement type “hover”. Basically it just floats above the water and treats it as land for its terrain purposes. The Aile Chevalier and Josh will be with you the entire game, so you better like it. It’s good and it gets better later on in the game.
-240902-151931.png)
Ignore the fact he’s at level 2 already. I took this after the fact.
Josh is melee based and has some nice skills to complement that. Going from the top, Prevail increases his stats the lower his HP gets. Shield Defense sometimes lets him take half damage with his shield. Sword Cut sometimes lets him negate enemy missile/funnel/melee attacks with his sword. Shoot Down is the same but with his gun. Combo lets him attack multiple adjacent enemies with certain attacks. And Counter sometimes lets him counterattack first when attacked.
We’ll just park him here and wait for the Invaders to invade.
Josh’s battle theme, Desire
Once they get closer, let’s look at spirits
Every pilot has spirits and SP (spirit points). Spirits cost SP to use and normally do not regenerate until after the map. Josh’s first spirit is one of the most important in the entire game, Focus. Until the start of the next turn, Josh gets +30% hit chance and +30% evasion to end of the complicated calculations the game uses. It helps us hit more and get hit less. And it’s cheap too.
After a round of counterattacking, one of the Invaders die. We then get some reinforcements!
Sorry to keep you waiting, bro! I’ll help too!
Rim? What did you do, Cliff?
I didn’t have time to show you, but this is what I was planning. I’ve adjusted it to suit Rim. The professor asked me to. I was going to give it to you guys later, but I still need to make the final adjustments.
Cliff! Are you planning to have Rim fight?
The system is synchronized as planned. Besides, you’ve been listening to her lectures right? She can control it.
That’s not what I’m talking about!
Bro, this isn’t the time for that! Everything is working fine!
Rim… Fine. Don’t push yourself!
Rim joins the fight in the Blanche Neige, just like how I explained earlier. It flies very well and has more long ranged attacks. She also comes with the skill Hit and Away, meaning if she attacks without moving, she can move after the attack. Very useful for snipers like her to keep up with the rest of the army. Sadly, she doesn’t join us in what’s about to happen.
Rim’s battle theme, Duologue
Let’s kill some more Invaders
[When one Invader is left]
[Explosions]
What…?!
[ALARM]
Doctor, an energy anomaly has been detected in the ruins. On the lowest level!
The lowest level? It has to be… where’s Professor Radcliffe?
I can’t contact him.
[More explosions]
Abnormality is increasing further! This…can’t be! There shouldn’t be this much energy in the ruins!
Faba Fores… Not good. Please tell everyone to evacuate to be safe.
But…
I’ll make up an excuse. As long as we all get out safely. Hurry up!
Ok!
Cliff, what’s wrong?! Have the Invaders invaded?
No, it seems there’s been an accident in the ruins. Mainly on the lowest level where Professor Radcliffe is. I’ve started evacuating the researchers.
Is it really that bad?
Yeah. There’s only one Invader left. Please finish it quickly and help us.
Got it!
Josh and Rim both have unique BGMs when using the strongest attack of whatever mech they’re piloting.
Josh’s is Drumfire | Rim’s is Duet
Also Josh leveled up! When leveling up, you get more stats, more spirits (depending on level), and you get bonus points.
Depending on the setting I mentioned earlier, you can do this now or wait until intermission. Basically you get bonus stat points you can put in any stat. In order it’s Melee, Ranged, Defense, Skill, Evasion, Accuracy.
After the last Invader is killed…
Cliff, what’s going on!?
The energy level is reaching dangerous levels. We have no choice but to evacuate.
Wait a sec, Cliff. Where’s dad!?
The professor’s team is at the center of the anomaly, in the lowest level. We can’t contact them.
No wait! Bro, we have to go and save him!
ROUTE SPLIT CHOICE
- Prioritize supporting the escaping researchers
- Rush into the ruins and provide assistance
The first will lead to the Earth route and that will be non-canon Rim’s job. In canon-Josh’s case, we’re going into the ruins. Which somehow leads to Space.
Rush into the ruins and provide assistance
I’ll go in. Rim, you escape with Cliff.
But…
No buts! Hurry!
…Ok. Take care of our dad, bro. Make sure you all come back!
Yea… I know. Cliff, take care of Rim.
[Inside the ruins]
Damn.
[Earthquake]
I’ve lost communication with the surface… Dad, where are you?
[A nearby monitor turns on]
…Joshua? Why are you here?
What? You were the one who called us here! And now you’ve gotten into an accident! I came to help, where are you!?
Fabula Forace asked me… I never thought it would end up like this…
Dad, tell me! Where are you!?
[More earthquaking]
…It’s too late. Soon… the area around these ruins will… I’m sorry… I dragged you into this. Did Cliana escape?
Ah, uh…
I see… I'm sorry…
[Average day in a fault line]
Dad!? Ugh…
[On the surface]
Eh… Bro? Dad!?
No, we didn’t make it in time! We’re getting caught up too!
[Screen fades to white]
Meanwhile in Space
[Satellite orbit in Neo Zeon operation space]
Colonel, Axis will soon exceed the point of no return. The operation is a success!
I understand. Gyunei, retreat while supporting the friendly units engaged in combat with the mobile dolls. I will return to the ship first.
Ha, understood. I will stop OZ’s pursuit all by myself.
(Even if Axis was not dropped, sooner or later only sorrow will spread. Eventually it will crush the Earth. In that case, humanity must judge itself with its own hands and atone for itself against the planet itself. Amuro… I don’t understand why…)
[On the bridge of a Neo Zeon flagship]
Many OZ mobile dolls have attached themselves to Axis, but it will be impossible to stop it from falling.
…Thank you for your hard work, Milliardo Peacecraft. It seems that Treize Khushrenada didn’t appear after all.
That seems to be the case.
Without its core functioning, the OZ Space Force will be unable to act properly, no matter how powerful it may be. We will switch to a strategy of destroying the fleets stationed in each colony one by one. I will leave command to you. I must keep Zanscare in check.
Understood.
(Sorry, Relena. But the time has not yet arrived for your ideals. The only way for people to realize the folly of their own actions is to involve all of humanity. Even if it is an act that will be shamed for future generations… I do not intend to escape this sin.)
[Screen flashes]
What the…
A powerful energy reaction has been confirmed on the ground! It’s coming from… Antarctica!
Is it an attack from the ground?
No. But…something is spreading across the entire Earth!
[Another flash]
Colonel! Axis!
Axis is…collapsing!> Impossible, what on earth is…
Earth…Commander, Earth… has disappeared! Our sensors can’t see Earth either!
Impossible… Are you saying there’s a barrier covering the planet!?
You’ve got to be kidding me!
But…
Let’s hurry and check the situation! What on earth happened…
And that’s it for the prologue. How can we deal with a missing planet? And what happened? Find out next time.
Prioritize supporting the escaping researchers
No, it’s too dangerous. Rim, Cliff, we’ll help the other escape too!
[On the surface]
I hope we make it in time…
(Liana… I feel the same)
What’s wrong, Rim?
Sorry, bro! We’re going to rescue Dad and the other after all.
[Rim gets in her mech and flies to the ruins]
What? Hey, wait Rim!
[Earthquake]
I can’t get in contact with Rim! Cliff, I’m going back too!
[Landorus uses EQ]
Rim? Dad!!
No, we didn’t make it in time! We’re getting caught up in this too!
