One thing I want to mention is regarding the rumors that this game is bugged with low armor. It’s not a bug, it’s just poor balancing. If you hear “Oh, SRW D makes Supers unusable because of a bug” it’s not true. Supers are usable. They just require a little more TLC than the Reals. The game has wonky enemy upgrade escalation and you need to play around that.
Anyway, this intermission, Atlas gets the Chobham Armor, Mazinger Z gets an Apogee Motor (+! Movement and +5 Mobility), and Great Mazinger gets a Magnetic Coating (+5 Mobility). Not spending any money at the moment.

Cast in the name of God, Ye Not Guilty. Big O has one major weakness; it cannot fly so its biggest attacks cannot hit flying targets. But besides that it has great defenses for Supers in this game and (eventually) it’ll have two pilots. It also sports a fancy beam coat which greatly helps its survivability. Dorothy as a subplot gives access to some of the best support spirits in the game like Confuse (all enemies’ hit rates are halved until your next turn) and Daunt (lower an enemy’s will by 10). The latter is all but required for late game bosses.
This stage of the chapter is simple, beat up Dorothy-1. I put Big O on a building for the extra defense, but that’s not really necessary as long as you remember that Roger has spirits.

Dorothy joins Big O as a subplot for this part of the stage. You don’t really need to use her Daunt here, but the thought is nice. Move Roger closer to the rest of the group and stick together. The mobile dolls here only really use beam attacks, so the plan is to have Strega absorb as many of their attacks as possible.

Daltanious is a machine that requires investment due to low base Armor. But with that investment comes great returns and a very powerful Super Robot. It’s also missing a good chunk of its weapons, but those come with a late game secret if you can believe it. It does have three pretty good pilots (Kento, Danji, and Beraglios) and you can alway separate it. The separation also allows some cheese. Separate, resupply Beraglios using Gepar, then recombine. You’ll get a third of your EN back with no will loss. The game only checks Atlas’ action usage when determining if Daltanious can move after combining.
I’m not sure that I’ll be using it much, but that’s primarily due to a lack of familiarity with the series. I’d just rather spend my money upgrading something else.

Just as a heads up, due to the pacing of the story and the route splits, the next 2 updates will be the Earth Route. We’re nearing the point where both routes converge and the Earth route has one extra stage for some reason. Chronologically, the events of the last 2 Earth route stages happen before the last Space route stage and directly impact what's going on there.
