Garland has the most mobility in the game tied with Basara’s Valkyrie (barring a very late game secret). And it also has the lowest defense, tied with core fighters (also barring that same late game secret). If you max out its mobility, I only think end game bosses would even have a chance of hitting it, which is good because it’s made out of wet cardboard. So do that if you want to use this. Also in space it will be locked to its Maneuver Slave form (MC means Maneuver Craft, MS is Maneuver Slave). The MC form does have hover movement, so Shogo won’t be drowning. It lacks powerful weapons however.
One against many. MC/MS enemies are pretty much the most agile enemies in the game. You’ll have an extremely hard time hitting them without Focus or Aim, even in a MC/MS like Garland. Keep Focus up for even a real chance at hitting them. With Focus, there’s no chance that they can hit you back, so don’t worry about it. All MS’s have extremely low HP and armor, so one hit usually does it.
