This puzzle is to show that battleships with consumables can use those parts on nearby allies. Use the propellant tank on Gyunei (the northern Jagd Doga). Have Quess use Assault and move her close to the enemies, using Mega Beam Cannon on the northern enemy. Gyunei uses his Mega Beam Cannon on the southern enemy, being just out of range so he doesn’t get killed. Finally, move the Ra Cailum up and finish the map off.

Victory nets 25k money and a HP Virus part.

Let’s get the list over with.

Shame there’s no way to upgrade Garland at the moment. Still unsure if I’m going to use it into the endgame.

Last time, we literally just experienced the plots of Megazone 23 Parts 1 and 2.

Chapter 18: Those That Came From Another Earth
Chapter 19 if you went Earth/Keilas Guilie. Chapter 17 if you went Space/Jupiter

[Ra Cailum, Bridge]
Commander Char, how’s the situation?
Still no signs of movement. The giant ship is currently in free fall towards the surface of the moon. Based on the damage on the exterior, it seems safe to say that the ship has lost its navigational ability.
There are still explosions all over the ship, so the survey team can’t get close. OZ’s forces keep getting caught up in explosions near its surface. All I know is that it’s for lifeforms the same size as us.
I’ve read your report. I regret what happened to the members of the advance party.
Even so, it’s a ship bigger than a colony…
Yeah… Zentran ships were large because they themselves were large.
T-t-t-terrible news, everyone! Someone has hacked into our ship’s central systems! Oh, this can’t be happening…
What!?
Oh…
What is it, Beltorchika?
[A monitor turns on]
To the humans approaching Megazone 23, I am Eve. My program is different from what you know, but I was created by humans. Bahamut’s analysis of humanity’s systems in this universe has been completed. Right now, I’m going to borrow some of your ship’s control computers.
The hell?
I can’t believe something like that could be done from the outside.
Megazone 23… Is that the name of that giant ship?
What’s going on here? You’re using our ship’s computer!?
Please don’t be angry. I’ve decided that this was the best course of action for us to learn about each other.
A human race just like us, yet different… Could you please tell us what’s going on?
I have set the appropriate data to your memory banks. It’s only a small part of the vast amounts of data we have, but with your level of technology, you should be able to understand it.

This is…
It’s hard to believe, but…
Impossible. You really expect us to believe something like this?
A different Earth? That’s just…
The destroyed Earth and the surviving human race… Along with a spaceship controlled by a giant computer. It’s certainly a fascinating story.
B-but Treize.
The parallel universe theory has been around for a long time. At this stage, we can’t rule it out, no?
You’re right, but I don’t believe it.
I agree. I need to hear what Officer Exedor, Dr. Earl, Dr. Shikishima, Dr. Chiba, and Dr. Gygax thinks.
Right…
Lady Eve, what is it that you want? Why did you contact us?
We didn’t come here by choice. I have come to learn about this world and its people. At the very least, we believe peaceful contact is possible.
So you being here was an accident. Very well, I want to meet with a representative of the humans onboard Megazone.
I will put you in contact with 7G Operator, Shogo Yahagi.
7G Operator? Is that a member of your political body?
No. As you can see from the data, most of the people inside Megazone only have the awareness of someone from the 20th century. As I am Bahamut’s seventh program, I chose to have him represent Megazone and its people.
[Beeping]
What is it now?
It appears that Battle 7 just returned to the Earth Sphere.
Battle 7? What happened to Jupiter?
No changes. Looks like they were able to stop Jupiter from turning into a Getter Sun.

[Bahamut’s Core]
…go. Shogo. Wake up, Shogo.
Ugh… Eve…? Did we escape from Adam…?
Yes. There’s nothing to worry about anymore. The ship is pretty damaged though.
I see…
…n…
Yui… So where are we? Are we far from Earth?
No, we’re still near Earth. But one without ADAM on the moon.
…I don’t understand. What do you mean, Eve?

…And that’s the results of Bahamut’s analysis. We still lack information about this world.
That’s… Shogo, are we…dreaming? Or is this reality?
I’d like to think this is still a dream… It’ll be fine, Yui. I trust you, Eve. On what you told us.
Thank you.
Our Tokyo was inside a giant spaceship after all. I don’t know what’s going on now, but nothing could be more surprising than that. Besides, if what you said is true, then we can go back home to Earth. Or, maybe going home isn’t the right phrasing.
I don’t know about that. It seems like the humans in this world are always at war.
…I figured.
But there’s hope. At least they won’t destroy their own world. Or rather they haven’t yet.
Yet?
There were signs that they were trying to leave, but not anymore.
What do you mean?
The humans of this world are encountering powerful external threats. Aliens civilizations that we’ve never met in our world. Maybe Desargues was contaminated by something like that.
Alien civilizations… So they’re in the middle of a space war. So what’s our next move?
That’s for you to decide, Shogo.
Me?
Bahamut… and of course myself too, had anticipated a situation like this, but we haven’t come to a decision. The decision is yours alone. I’ve chosen you to meet with the humans of this world.
Hold it, Eve. You can’t just say something like that out of the blue…
Shogo, are you scared?
Not at all. It’s just…
Becoming an adult isn’t about age. Adults are those who live with responsibility, more or less. You should do as you please, just like the adults you admire.
…Alright. I’ll meet with them. I don’t know if I’m an adult or not, but I’ll try my best. …Eve, I’ve asked this before, but why did you choose me?
Because of the kind of person you are. Those people who are different… Bahamut and I created this societal system, but you have the potential to change it.

[Battle 7, War Room]
Judau. Judau Ashta, welcome home. And to you as well, Roux.
Hey Captain, it’s been a while. Isn’t it rude to talk that casually?
Oh, sorry. That’s not what I meant.
Hahaha, I know. I was joking.
I just heard that you’re both safe. You sure had it rough out there.
Only when a horde of Invaders appeared. I wouldn’t say you had it easy either, Kamille. I heard Fa is here too?
Fa is on the Ra Cailum. She’ll say hi later.
Judau, this is the first time we’ve met in person. I’m Amuro Ray. Does coming here mean you’ll be joining us?
This situation seems serious and we’re up against some aliens. I can’t just pretend that it doesn’t matter. I mean, even Fa and Kamille are here.
You’ll be a big help, Judau.
I’d like to hear the details though.
Right. Just what is going on? Are you working for Neo Zeon and OZ? And this huge ship we’re on is said to be from an old immigration fleet?
I’ll explain it later. There’s something more pressing to discuss first.

…And that’s the situation.
My goodness, I don’t have any time to be bored.
Hahahaha. Another Earth and another human race! This is so interesting. There are still mountains of things in this universe we don’t know about! Ahahahaha!!
So you think it’s the truth?
From the data, there’s no way I can doubt it. From what I can tell from the actual ship, it’s a fair conclusion.
I concur. It’s the real deal. One of the theories I was researching involves space-time energy…
Doctor Chiba, maybe another time.
Zechs, what do the others say? I guess they have questions.
They all agree with Admiral Exedor. Dr. Earl says it’s not impossible. Dr. Gygax said that the existence of another dimension or world was found in the ruins. At least that’s what he was implying.
So their claims are real. Now, how do we deal with this?
…Humanity from another Earth, huh? It’s troubling that so many of them don’t understand their situation.
Hmm… First, we need to meet with their representative.

What!? Sanae and Shakti were captured by Zanscare?
Apparently. Because of what happened, it would be better to say they were rescued rather than captured.
So that’s why the kids are depressed.
The plan to capture Keilas Guilie went well thanks to Uso’s idea, but he’s not happy about it.
He’s hard on himself. Even though we defeated them, Jupiter was completely messed up by the Invaders.
Now that I think about it, it seems the Crushers aren’t here. Where are they?
They’re going to Hiland. To pick up Takeru’s twin brother, who’s a Gishin.
A Gishin? Is that alright?
He betrayed the Emperor or something. Apparently, he was strapped to a bomb and forced to fight Takeru. We’ve decided to let him accompany us to provide information. Takeru’s real parents were killed by Emperor Zuul.

[Hiland]
We’re here. Now that I think about it, what happened to that big ship?
At the moment it seems that they’re not hostile. After they met up with Battle 7, they let me know they would try to contact it.
Takeru, go ahead. We’ll wait here.
Yes, Captain.
Takeru, it’s great that everyone recognizes your brother.
I mean, there’s Duke and Dr. Earl. This is slightly more complicated though.
It couldn’t be helped. He’s an important source of information.
Right. I’m off then.

Marg, brother, there you are.
Mars, did it go well?
I’m here to pick you up, brother. I talked to everyone and they’d like you to come with us…
[Nearby monitor turns on]
Takeru, Takeru, can you hear me? A small Gishin ship just warped out…
[Explosions]
Ugh…
Ugh… Marg!? It’s you!
Fufufu. Nice to meet you again, Mars.
Damn you, let Marg go!
By orders from Emperor Zuul, I’m taking Marg with me. I’m not here to fight you today, Mars.
[He escapes with Marg with an explosion]
Dammit, wait! Marg! MARG!!
Takeru? What’s wrong, Takeru!?

SECRET ALERT
The following scene happens if you defeated BD last stage within 3 turns of him spawning.

[Megazone 23, Bahamut Area]
Are you going, Yahaki?
BD…
I have a rough idea as to the situation. With our military completely annihilated… I can’t go on like before.
What will you do?
I don’t feel like changing the way I live now. Or rather, I don’t think I can change. I’d be happy to at least be your bodyguard. I want to see what humanity is like in this world.
I know it’s none of my business but… I appreciate the help. I don’t know what kind of people they are.
Me neither… Guess we’ll find out. Is there a place for me in this new world?

[Ra Cailum, Bridge]
…It’s almost time.
Yes, we’re leaving now. Please accept us.
Captain, emergency communication from Battle 7!
This is Battle 7 Bridge. We’ve spotted an approaching fleet. Confirmed to be the Gishin Empire. Please prepare for immediate defense.
Dammit. The Gishin Army now of all times…
Are they the aliens?
Yes. We have to deal with them.
Everyone, level one battle stations! All pilots, hurry up and launch!

Commander Gandal, that Giant Spaceship has to have something to do with the Earthlings.
Seems so. Imagine how powerful a ship that big could be. We’ll destroy it along with the Earthlings.
Sir! Everyone, begin the attack!
The hell are they?
Shogo, that’s one of the aliens attacking Earth.
It’s an alien army?
They’re called the Gishin Interstellar Empire. A battle is about to break out. Let’s withdraw for now.
…No. Let’s do this, Eve. If I run away now, I’ll be made a fool by the people of this world. We can’t have a proper discussion if we’re looked down upon.
…Understood. Shogo, please be careful.
The enemy… Are they the enemy?
(BD is now blue)
BD, it’s just as I’ve heard. I’m going to fight these aliens together with the guys here.
Aliens… Heh, I see. Well then, I’ll have to join you. Yahagi, follow my lead!

Summon your battleship of choice and 13 of your finest fighters.

Megazone 23 with Shogo and BD are at the north of the map and THE BOYS are at the south. If you’re smarter than me, you’d try to rendezvous with Shogo up north. Instead, I opted to let them fend for themselves, using Focus/Guard and Megazone’s great terrain to keep them alive. No boss dialogs this stage, but both Blacky and Gandal retreat at 20% (5000) HP, so watch out. At this point, HP retreats with numbers that low should be easy to deal with thanks to a Valor’d finisher like Shin Getter’s Stoner Sunshine, ZZ’s High Mega Cannon, and Daltanious’ Flame Cross Slash. Remember to use Fortune/Luck if you can for the extra money.

Don’t forget to feed kills to Judau and/or Roux if you want that secret.

By succeeding on the secret the last stage, we get BD as a permanent party member!

[TAL-052-H-O Zahme Sau]
Much like Garland, this unit is made out of wet tissues. But it’s agile and has much higher firepower than Garland. No bike form though.

SECRET ALERT
You have about 13 stages to get a combined kill count of 400 between Amuro, Char, Kamille, and Judau. Chances are, you won’t be getting this secret on a fresh save file. It’s a lot easier to get it on NG+. Just pointing this out since I don’t anticipate on getting this.

No! Damn you Earthlings! I’m out of options so I’ll retreat for now, but next time I’ll get my revenge!

Dammit, what’s going on.
How embarrassing! Retreat! Retreat!
Ma’am!
This whole debacle was caused by the execution of what was barely a plan. You should have just followed my advice.
Retreat already. Damn you Lady Gandal…

Once all enemies are defeated…

It’s over…
…!? Everyone, wait! Something’s coming!
What do you mean by something, Maria?

Fuahahahahahahaha!!
Wha-- What’s that!?
Tha-- That’s Zuul! Emperor Zuul of the Gishin Empire!
That’s Zuul!?
So that’s Emperor Zuul…
Hmmm…
He’s huge.
So that’s the Emperor. Well, if we defeat him, we win right!?
You’re right. Let’s do this!
Hahahaha. How cunning! Foolish Earthlings, realize your own powerlessness!

Emperor Zuul takes the stage to the far south west. He has insane HP and EN regen, but no MAP attacks, doesn’t retreat, and only one action per turn. Have everyone board the party bus and make your way to him since he’s too regal to meet you halfway. Get close, take a turn to have everyone assume their positions around him, then go all out. Don’t be afraid to use all your SP to take him down, but be sure to spare a Fortune/Luck for the bonus money. He does have the Prevail skill which makes him harder to hit and damage the lower his health goes.

When Zuul is defeated…

Hmm…
[Zuul Explodes]
We got him…
That was way too easy. At least that spells the end for the Gishin Empire.
…No. That was too easy.
That wasn’t the real one?
Well whatever. You all did great. All units, return to base. Can you hear me, Shogo Yahagi?
Yeah… Loud and clear. Those guys were no joke.
If you’re safe, please come over here.
Okay, I’ll do that.
[Everyone retreats]

Hahahaha. You fools.
Zuul!? So that was a fake after all.
You all thought we were on equal footing, but that was merely a clone. You have no chance of winning.
A clone!?
As expected of the Gishin Emperor… He’s not going to be that easy.
But it’s not impossible.

Takeru!?
Zuul!
Hello, Mars.
What did you do to Marg!?
Takeru, what happened?
Apparently Marg was kidnapped by a psychic from the Gishin Empire!
What?
Give me back Marg, Zuul!
Since you were sent to Earth at a young age, you were never taught how to be polite to an Emperor.
You don’t deserve it!
Hehehe. Don’t worry, Marg is alive. Mars, return to the Gishin Empire. You still have a lot to accomplish. Destroy Earth and come back to us.
Shut up! You tried to trick me by saying you were my father! I’ll never do what you want!
You’re a fool, Mars. Marg is following my orders. Hahahahaha. Ahahahahaha!!
[Zuul leaves]
Wait Zuul! Dammit, Marg…
…So that was Emperor Zuul…

[Battle 7, War Room]
Emperor Zuul of the Gishin Empire… He’s a powerful opponent after all.
Did he say it was a clone? It’s troublesome that he can do that.
Yes. Zuul himself is probably on Planet Gishin.
My god. That’s our enemy?
There’s no mistaking it, he’s pure evil. Our battle won’t end until evil is vanquished.
We know.
…Never mind that. What about Shogo Yahagi?
It’s very interesting. The test results show that he’s exactly like us. Hahahaha. He really is an Earthling like us.
So it’s all true then? That he’s from another Earth.
That’s right. He’s from a parallel Earth.
Looks like we have no choice but to believe them.
Bring Yahagi down. Also, could you please connect us to their side as well?
Roger that, Captain.

…And that’s our story. Megazone will have to correct its trajectory and descend to the moon’s surface.
Our hope is that the people of Tokyo… No, the people of Megazone will be accepted as Earthlings like you all. We have nowhere else.
…I see. If that’s the situation, we will not refuse. However, if there’s an issue regarding the resident’s awareness, don’t you think it would be better to stay as is?
…What do you mean?
We’re saying that the citizens will need to become aware of the era disparity, Shogo Yahagi.
Eve, what do you think?
What they’re saying is correct. As things stand, they cannot adapt to this world, and thus cannot survive. Even if Bahamut is manipulating information, it will take time.
…Fine. As long as you’ll accept us, it’s fine. The rest is up to you, Eve.

[Battle 7, Break Room]
You must be tired, Yahagi. Why don’t you go and get some rest?
Eh? Ah, yeah… I guess I will.
But that was a horrible story.
What is?
About Yahagi. They just left everyone there without telling them anything, even after hundreds of years. And then just to destroy the entire ship. It’s crazy.
Yeah… It’s not a joke. We don’t want to die because of those adults either. Well, at least we’re here now. It’s better than being reduced to ashes.
Um, Yahagi, was your Earth really destroyed by war? Why did that happen?
That seems to be the case. I just heard about it from Eve, so I don’t know the whole story. Hey, this is a warship, right? Why are people like you able to move around so freely? In that room before too. Rather, in the first place, why do people like you exist?
It’s because we’re pilots.
It’s true that our unit is special.
You don’t have the look of a soldier, but you must have been in battle. And you’re that ship’s representative.
It’s too annoying to explain my circumstances.
We’re not that different after all. Right, Josh?
Right. Everyone has their own complicated reasons for being here. There’s many reasons why people become pilots.
Right, right. There were a lot of things going on and we thought that since someone is attacking us, we might as well fight back.
You punk. Don’t just simplify it like that.
We’re not doing this for a living or anything. It’s not like I like fighting. But we have the power to fight and by doing so, we can protect things. That’s our reason for fighting.
Even though you might die?
Everyone fears that. But… I don’t want to say that it doesn’t bother me. As long as there’s something I can do, I don’t want to run away. That’s why we’re here.
He’s right. There are even little kids here. Everyone is trying their best.

[Megazone 23, Bahamut Area]
Welcome back. …What happened?
Ah… Not much.
How was it, Shogo? What do you think of them?
…I don’t know. The people I negotiated with were the kind of people who would sacrifice themselves easily.
And yet you came back without saying anything?
No… But there’s a guy over there who’s the same age as me. And there were quite a few who were younger. They’re different from the friends I knew. Yui, can you believe it? I was treated as a kid by the military guys, but there’s even more kids on that battleship risking their lives as pilots.
Even little kids…?
Those kids are great, but I don’t think it’s right to let them do what they want. Even the adults there are weird. It’s insane. But that’s why I thought maybe it would be better.
They call themselves THE BOYS. It’s different from the normal military. Are you going, Shogo?
The Earth of this world is dangerous in a lot of ways. Much like the enemies we encountered. I feel like there are things I can do, and things I have to do.
…The truth is, I want to live a normal life like before. I had a dream, I worked, I talked with people, I had fun… But now…
Yui…
I know. I can’t live like I did before. Shogo, do what you want. I’m coming with you.
Sorry. You can’t be a Broadway Dancer anymore.
It’s okay. You have nothing to apologize for.
If that’s what you’ve decided, then Bahamut and I will cooperate with them in order to protect the people of Megazone, the Earth of this worth, and the people who live there. And you.

Another cutscene if you’ve done the BD secret

I’ve decided to hang with that other crew. What will you do, BD? Are you going to defend Megazone? Reorganize your forces?
There’s an enemy and a battle that must be won, so my objective is clear. This Earth seems like a world worth living in.
There are people over there who are completely different from you. You can’t do things the same as before.
…That’s fine.

[Battle 7, Medical Floor]
Wow, you’re going to sing in a place like this?
Oh, there she is. Hey Kabuto, it’s the real Mylene. Hey, Mylene-chan.
Boss, stop it.
Guys, please be polite.
Kikii.
Oh, Gamlin.
Hello Mylene.
You’re looking good.
Oh, it’s you.
There’s so many of you, what’s wrong?
I mean you said you were going to sing, so everyone wanted to hear you…
And you all went out of your way to do that? That makes me happy.
It seems that the band’s popularity has been skyrocketing lately. We’re happy for you.
Basara is still causing you trouble, isn’t he?
Well, he’s…
(Huh? Lieutenant, what happened to your usual vigor?)
(He’s an idiot. You can tell by looking.)
Everyone else is fine, but what about you, Gamlin?
I’ll listen to you, since you’re here.
You say that, but you probably just came to see Mylene.
T-that’s not true.
Hey Basara! You came to listen to our song, what kind of attitude is that? I’m sorry, Gamlin. He’s really insensitive.
No no it’s fine. Don’t worry about it.
Hey you guys, it’s fine that you came to listen to Fire Bomber, but this is an important experiment in sound therapy. Stay over there.

Aw man. Even though they came all the way over here, I’m not really in the mood.
What’s wrong, Mylene? You don’t seem like your usual self.
I mean we’re singing for POWs. They’re the ones who attacked us. Why would I go through all this trouble for that…

I guess you still don’t get it, huh.
What? I mean we’re enemies!
You moron. That’s why it’s okay. Old man, are you ready to start?
Yes, please start.
Hehe, I’m starting to heat up! Let’s go!
