Say hello to the best support unit in the game. It’s bulky, has a shield, and has both a repair and resupply module. And it can fly in the atmosphere. Really there’s little more you would want in a support unit. If only I could put Quatre in it, then it would be perfect.


[RX-94 Mass Production Type Nu Gundam (Fin Funnel and INCOM variants)]
The MP Nu is a slightly worse base Nu Gundam. It sports 5 less mobility, 100 less armor, and 100 lower attack on all attacks. There’s also an INCOM version, but you won’t be using that unless you want to give your Oldtypes a decent unit.The only oldtypes at this point are Marbet and Junko anyway. Besides the Newtype requirements, INCOMs have a shorter range (1-5) and use less EN. But the MP Nu is just alright. If you want to deploy more UC Gundams and are already using all the main Gundams, you can do worse than this.


[VF-19S and VF-19F Excalibur]
Both the S and F variants are the same stats-wise. The only difference is how the sprites look. Really, it’s a direct upgrade from their VF-17 Nightmares. Also Docker and Kinryu are back for good, so feel free to use them if you want. I’m actually craving more deployment slots in these chapters, so they’re warming up the bench for the rest of the game.

Roux gets the White Ark for now so she can be in a more supporting role while trying to snipe kills to help with that secret. I may have forgotten about Kei’s team before, so by moving them to the Black Getter, they can get some levels to keep up. Also for variety’s sake. I could just use the same 13-16 units every stage but variety is the spice of life.

[LM314V21 Victory 2 (V2) Gundam]
To make it brief, the V2 Gundam is fast but it’s not that powerful. At least right now it isn’t. It also has a core fighter, but it lacks the Top and Bottom attack of the normal Victories that lets it regain its limbs in the ship. With little investment, it won’t get hit by anyone who lacks a name, but it’ll get better later in the game. Doesn’t help that its Wings of Light finisher is a melee attack. It does have a Bushin so even attacks that can hit it just might get negated anyway. In the end, it’s very endgame viable, or at least it will be.


More Varauta to take care of. Use the colony’s terrain. Yadda yadda yadda. You have to deal with Gigil without Basara’s singing this time, but he doesn’t retreat at low HP so take things slow. This late into the game it’s not going to be this easy…

Remember all the way back to when I mentioned Hilde and Noin had a kill count secret? This is the cutoff point. Make sure you have 20 kills between both of them before the end of this stage.

[VF-19 “Fire” Valkyrie Custom SB]
Say hello to (what I believe is) the best unit in the game. With the Sound Booster, which acts like a second health bar, Basara’s songs can now be used as MAP attacks. That means with the right setup, you can group up your forces at the start of any map and sing their will to around 120+ before the first attack. Then Basara can just chill in the ship, having done a job well done. This musical abuse can start as soon as Basara gets to level 25 for the Spirit spirit. Also he’s stuck in Battleroid form with the Sound Booster, but that doesn’t matter most of the time. Each MAP song only has one ammo each without resupplying.


[VF-11 MAXL Custom SB]
Say hello to Basara Lite. Pretty much take Basara and tone down his mobility. Same songs, same effects. Sadly, she lacks any MAP songs. But she can still perform her bardly duties on individual targets.


[VF-17T Nightmare Custom SB]
Sadly, Ray can’t sing. His Valkyrie does have a repair and resupply module if you don’t want to use the White Ark. Or you can use both. Ray comes with Veffidas as a co-pilot for a second spirit pool and they both have great support spirits..

More Protodeviln are afoot and, while Basara and Mylene could take on Glavil, its HP regen is too tough. The best thing to do is regroup everyone together and do what you do best. As I said, since both Glavil and Gavil are Protodeviln, you can use singing to damage them. That being said, when you defeat one, the other will retreat. And they both retreat at 20% (2000 HP for Gavil, 6000 HP for Glavil), so try to kill one. Gavil drops a HP Radar and a Mega Generator while Glavil drops a Mega EN Chip and a Booster. Choose wisely.

Also despite Exedor’s breakdown, he can still cast spirits just fine.
