This puzzle is about attack sequencing and the power of Valor. First, cast Valor on everyone who isn’t Heero (since he lacks it). Land Heero, move him next to Quatre and attack any enemy with his machine cannons while Quatre supports. Next, move Wufei down and attack the only enemy he can. Duo’s up next, so move him next to any enemy to hit two of them with a combo’d scythe swing. After that, finally move Quatre and defeat any enemy with his Heat Shotals. Finally, Trowa snipes the last enemy.


Victory nets 30k money and a much coveted S-Adapter (makes all terrains for both the unit and weapons S Rank).

As alluded to at the end of the previous chapter, there’s a shiny red mobile suit in the hangar now just waiting for a pilot.


[MSN-04 II Nightingale]
It has three powerful weapons and that’s all you really need. I’d argue that the Nightingale is one of the top 3 mobile suits in this game. It’s bulkier than its Psycommu contemporaries (Nu and Sazabi), but it’s just as agile as them (it of course beats the MP Nu in every way). It’s in fact pretty equivalent with the Nu HWS and the one other MSV-CCA mobile suit in this game. If you’re not picking up what I’m putting down, this will be part of any endgame team.

I kinda…tunneled in on upgrading this beast.


Of course Char gets the Nightingale, but really any Newtype will do extremely well in this.

We got those new OZ mobile suits from the secret, so let’s check them out. If Noin and Hilde’s kill count was 20+, you’ll get both, but if their kill counts are between 10 and 19, you’ll only get the Mercurius.


[OZ-13MSX2 Mercurius]
This guy’s a defensive wall. Its Planetary Defender ability reduces beam damage by a lot, and its weapons are cheap and decent. It’s not the worst unit on the roster and it gives Noin and Hilde something with more teeth if you want to use them in a non-support role.


[OZ-13MSX1 Vayeate]
Speaking of teeth, this guy’s singular non MAP attack, when fully upgraded, has a base attack of 5000. Very few non combo attacks can reach those numbers. It does require a lot of investment, but it’ll snipe the hell out of most things if you pump a lot of money into it. Also its long range beam cannon is post move for some reason? Insane.

Not gonna use them though. There’s like 6 other units I want to use before I consider these, and a Taurus makes for a better support unit if the White Ark or Ray’s Valkyrie weren’t a thing.


The first stage of this fight is against these BESPA guys. They’re a little stronger than the Keilas Guilie fight, but we’re stronger too. You should know the plan by now. The next stage of the chapter happens when there’s 10 enemies remaining and some of those named enemies drop power parts. If you really want them, watch who and how many you kill.

Once the flag has been tripped for the next phase…
