Alright. Change of plans; sweeping with Arceus isn't cutting it, I need a multitarget sweeper. I was scared of leading with Zygarde because of Ice Fang, but hopefully with an Aurora Veil set up they can live long enough to get off a couple of coils. Speaking of Aurora Veil, we have some new team members: Hope the Vulpix, and Second Wind the Whimsicott. Both have a very specific purpose; Vulpix to set up Snow and Aurora Veil, and Whimsicott to set up Tailwind via pankster. The team has also gotten some move changes; Eve the Vaporeon and Redcap Pika now have Helping Hand, and Kyubey the Mimikyu has Destiny Bond and Trick Room. Additionally, Zygarde and Redcap have been renamed to Hubris and Optimism, respectively.
Once more...

With skill. And maybe feeling but don't count on that.
The text for Snow Warning claims that it's starting to hail, but I think this is a typo; Hail was replaced with the Snow effect from Gen 9, so no mons will be damaged by it.

Hope has a Focus Sash to ensure that they get off the Aurora Veil. They aren't evolved because the Champion doesn't deserve my respect. I will lowball them and get away with it, watch me.
Coil is a pretty decent buffing move; it's like physical Calm Mind but with an additional accuracy boost. It does mean Hubris the Zygarde won't be getting special defense buffs, but ideally we want to hurt the opponents before they hurt us, and hurt them bad.
Gyarados has Ice Fang, yet for some reason it didn't want to use it on the juicy 4x weak to ice target. Weird! Unfortunately that means we don't get Aurora Veil up and we've lost Hope.
But let's keep trying anyways and see what happens. Optimism the Red-Capped Pikachu comes out and gives Hubris another attack buff; they're only at +1 thanks to intimidate, I ideally want to be at +2 at least.

So I have Optimism fake out Gyarados to keep them from doing any weird Ice Fang stuff while Hubris gets off another Coil. I think we're ready now.
Helping Hand is a move you basically never see used because it seems like a waste, but it's actually perfect for our use case here where we have one sweeper and a bunch of support mons. It'll boost Zygarde's attack this turn by 50%.
Optimism dying this turn is actually really good; I need to bring out Whimsicott to set up Tailwind for the next two mons who both outspeed and can potentially one-shot Zygarde; and them dying doesn't cancel out the Helping Hand.
Just look at that damage; they're both just deleted from existence from basically full health (Gyarados actually would have lived on a sliver of health if not for helping hand).
Second Wind the Whimsicott comes out to set up Tailwind, while Zacian and Kyogre are sent out.
This allows Zygarde to outspeed and get off the first strike. Unfortunately, it doesn't KO...

But it doesn't matter because Second Wind somehow lives against a hit from Zacian, and Kyogre decides to finish the job instead of attacking Hubris. Wow.

Kyogre was basically the only threat to Zygarde, and they're dead now. I feel pretty good about things!
Groudon and Rayquaza come out, and because of the order in which Rayquaza and Groudon are sent out, Rayquaza wipes away the rain before Groudon can merge it with Sunlight, and because it's not merged when Rayquaza goes mega, it doesn't set up an Aurora Veil. Oof buddy ouch that's rough buddy.
Rayquaza doesn't take kindly to me mocking it so it priority kills Eve; that's okay though, because Eve already got off the Helping Hand...
Which means Hubris oneshots Groudon and takes a good chunk out of Rayquaza's health.
Another Thousand Arrows deals the same amount of damage as the previous helping-hand boosted one because Rayquaza is a single target now so the damage is no longer being nerfed by hitting multiple targets.

Kyubey's disguise protects them from Rayquaza's Hyperspace Hole, which is good because I need them alive for a couple of purposes.

The first of those is that I had to pre-emptively set up Trick Room as Tailwind was going to run out this turn. The second is a surprise tool that will help us later!

I loooooove Play Rough's accuracy; I love that the the best physical fairy move has the Rock Type problem.

Doesn't matter, Hubris has it covered.
Now for the moment of truth.
I'm reminded of something a character once said in a previous Pokémon fangame LP...
I think it was that an "unbeatable" Pokémon could never exist in a world with Destiny Bond?
Hubris uses Coil just in case it has to take things into it's own hands...
But it doesn't matter.

We win these.
We. Hecking. Win these!!!!
quote:
So this wasn't my first attempt with this team; I took a few attempts to iron out the team. One of these attempts, I forgot to give Kyubey Destiny Bond, and only realized when I reached Eternatus.
In spite of this and a misplay in trying to attack the first turn with Hubris instead of buffing up immediately, I somehow got within one shot of winning with enough bulk to take a hit.

Thanks for the crit, game... It's still crazy that there was an attempt where Zygarde almost solo'd the whole fight with the rest of the team only playing support. Seriously, Zygarde is cracked. Anyways, back to the present...
Cry about it, my dude.
Revive her? Revive who?
Huh. This item doesn't appear in my inventory or anything; guess it's just a flavor thing?
My entire team was revived and healed from picking it up though, so that's cool. They'll be alive to be entered into the Hall of Fame.
OST - Hall of Fame
...Aren't you the old lady from that house in Ranger's Rest?
: You really did it. Your predecessor made such a mess of things, that pesky child.
: With the Champion's power, you can restore hope to the world.
Oh, is that the purpose of that soul I just collected?
: By returning that which was stolen, you can appease the Seamother's wrath.
: People and Pokémon will be able to grow and change once again.
...Okay. Yeah, saving everyone sounds pretty good!

We can inspect the objects in the room besides the statue.
We can also talk to the old woman again, who just says this.
Aright. Let's talk to the statue.
The text crawls really slowly here.
...I don't like this.
Oh.
