Video of this chapter

I’ve set up my pairs for this chapter as everyone being solo except for Ryoko and Izumi. I’ve also put all the Aestis in their 0G Frames since this upcoming stage is on the Moon, which means all units not grounded count as being in space.

Last time, Akito teleported to the Moon two weeks ago and the Nadesico and SMS decides to go pick him up. Youta and Falsaber decide to join them.

[Nadesico, Hangar]
Admiral, the maintenance team is ready to begin…
Ok, and? Like I said before, don’t you breathe a word about this to anyone. If this gets out… You understand, right?
…Yes sir.
Man, why are we sneaking around like this…
You guys can’t be trusted to investigate it properly on your own!
Look, it wasn’t our call. We were just following the Captain’s orders.
Shut up. Don’t talk back to your superiors. You need to find that Jovian Lizard pilot without anyone else knowing.

[Nergal Research Facility, Hallway]
Good work. Looks like they’re done testing for the day.
They’ve been at this ever since I Jumped to the Moon. What’s wrong with Nergal?
All labs are similar. It’s not just Nergal.
But I have to thank you, Girard. Even though I have to deal with this, you and the army helped me avoid being treated like a lab rat by Nergal.
Heh. You’re so honest. Maybe I’m really just a watchdog sent by the Federation to spy on you and Nergal…
Huh?
Oh don’t give me that look. I’m obviously joking.
Haha… Please don’t scare me like that.
But you are valuable since you’re the first Earthling to successfully Bio-Boson Jump. And because of that, you’re now a research subject. You should be aware of that.
I know… Otherwise a Captain like you wouldn’t have come all the way here.
As long as you’re aware. Well, see you tomorrow.
Hey Girard, are you busy?
Not really… Do you need something?
I don’t mean this as thanks, but would you like to get some food with me?

[Nadesico, Megumi’s Room]
…Why did you leave me… Akito, you dummy…
Meg, do you have a moment?
(Darkened)
Minato?
You were watching Gekiganger, weren’t you?
(Back to normal)
Yeah… Kinda…
Kinda, huh… You’re worried about Akito, aren’t you? That’s the episode you borrowed from him.
This is…
Hey, let’s go to the caf together.
Huh?
We’re having a get together.
But…
Brooding alone is fine and all, but you need a change of scenery. Lemme pause the video…
W-wait! Don’t stop it there!
(???. Darkened)
!?
I just heard a voice from under my bed…
Ugh, I just couldn’t stop myself… I, Tsukumo Shiratori, have made the biggest mistake of my life…
(Tsukumo Shiratori. Nadesico. CV: Tomokazu Seki)
W-who are you?

[Nadesico, Cafeteria]
It’s a bit hectic out there. The maintenance crew seem stressed. Captain, do you know anything about that?
No, I haven’t heard anything about that… Maybe they’re preparing a surprise party to welcome back Akito?
Only you would think to do that. We did suddenly go into space. Maybe we were lacking in some maintenance?
Excuse me! I’ll put down this food right here!
Youta, what’re you doing with those plates?
They seemed busy here, so I’m helping. Also, Akatsuki said that if I trained my sense of balance like this, I’ll get used to space faster.
Huh, I thought he was a nasty guy, but he’s surprisingly thoughtful.
Well, abandoning a job goes against my principles. Besides, if I can get closer to a pretty girl, it’ll be worth all the trouble.
Mmm? You mean me?
An adult shouldn’t say something so dangerous.
Akatsuki, I appreciate you looking after Youta. But I’m her guardian. Don’t forget that.
How scary. Was never a fan of overprotective parents.
Oh, I’ve seen your stone do that before. It’s really mysterious, isn’t it? Kinda feels straight out of a fantasy story.
I’m interested as a researcher. Can I see that?
I won’t give it to you. It’s mine.
Stubbornly refusing to give it to her… Stubborn like a stone… Hehe…
[Tumbleweed]
E-excuse me… I’m gonna go do the dishes now…
Um… Is she always like that?
Just ignore her. She’s been like this ever since the three of us started working together.
Have you all been friends for long, Ryoko?
Yup. Strangely enough, there’s a lot of people on this ship who have connections to each other. Captain, you and that guy are childhood friends, right?
Oh, you mean that Tenkawa guy everyone’s talking about?
Yes! Akito and I are destined to be together, linked by the red string of fate! We were separated as children, but he came to the Nadesico as a cook to protect me!
Really? But in Kawasaki, Tenkawa…
You shouldn’t pry into other people’s affairs. I’m sure there’s a lot of nuance to this.
Like how he won’t even touch the Captain despite being childhood friends.
So he’s a cook and a pilot at the same time. I’m a little envious of his talent.
Putting aside his piloting skills, his cooking is…

[Nergal Research Facility, Cafeteria]
How should I put it… It’s just average. It’s not good, but it’s not bad either.
I-is that so…
But I never thought the person who invited me to a meal would cook it himself.
If I knew more about you, maybe I could have made something different.
Oh? Are you trying to flirt with me?
N-no, not at all! It’s something the chef who took care of me taught me. He told me to make food according to the recipient’s background and preferences. So…yeah… Where are you from, Girard?
…I’ve forgotten that ever since I decided to stay here.

Girard, have you ever wanted to change the past?
Hmm… I do want to change the past. But it’s just a pipe dream.
I’ve been thinking about this power of mine for a while now… Why did I have to repeat the same events over again…
Go on.
If I made my decision sooner, the people at Kawasaki might not have had to suffer so much. So I thought I’d try to go back and do it again… I mean I did go back… That’s why I’m here.
You being here is proof enough, yes.
But it didn’t work… I couldn’t change anything.
Of course not.
Huh?
Life never goes the way you want it to. Especially since the past can’t be changed…
That… I understand that from a logical point of view. But surely there must be some meaning to the fact that I’m the only one who got to live through the same two weeks a second time.
You better quit dwelling on this hypothetical. You need to focus on the reality of this world. For example… The Jovian Lizards who killed your friends may actually be humans.
!?

[Nadesico, Megumi’s Room]
You’re a…Jovian Lizard?
That’s just a name the Earthlings gave us. I am Major Tsukumo Shiratori of the Anti-Earth Cooperative Federation of the Jovian Sphere: Ganymede, Callisto, Europa, and Associated Moons and Asteroids.
So you’re from Jupiter?
But you’re hiding on our ship… Are you planning to take us hostage and escape?
Wha-?! Of course not! Women are national treasures! I have no intention of doing such a thing!
Huh?
It was only by chance I chose this room. But in this room…
You were too engrossed in watching Gekiganger.
That’s right. It’s a way of life that burns red hot and pours out the passion of youth! With that right in front of me, there’s no way I could just ignore it! It’s the ideal…
Um…
Sorry about that! When it comes to Gekiganger, I…
Are you really a Jovian Lizard? You’re a lot different from what I imagined…
I’m sorry for scaring you. I’ll be leaving shortly.
…Why don’t you take us with you? It’d be easier for you to escape that way.
You’re not wrong… But if I escaped like that, I would never be able to face my comrades.
Minato, he…

[Alarm]
Dammit! Did they find me!?
The Nergal research facility on the Moon is under attack by the Jovian Lizards and Vagans. Everyone, please assemble on the bridge immediately.
(Phone)
My comrades are close…
…Um, Minato…
Yes, I know. Hey, you.
Y-yes!?
Don’t say anything. Just follow us.

[Nergal Research Facility, Hangar]
I can’t use my Aesti!? Is there no other machine I can use!?
We have the Lunar Frame we were testing, but it hasn’t seen live combat yet!
(Researcher)
If it can fight, it’s good enough for me!
Even after hearing the true identity of the Jovian Lizards, you’ll still fight them?
Of course it surprised me. But I’ll still fight. I’m still here.
Heh. Good attitude. You’ll be very helpful to us.
(That’s right… I need to fight. No matter what the Jovian Lizards really are, I…)

Moon Route Chapter 8: Encounter on the Moon

Girard, are you alright?
I am, but it seems Nergal’s latest battleship is totaled.
They’re just doing whatever they want…
It’s a mixed force of Vagans and Jovians. There’s a lot of them, so this fight might be a long one.
Help should be here soon. If we can hold out until then…
This is the Luna Base Commander, Aaron Simmons. I’ve confirmed the situation. You two are to deal with it.
(Phone)
What!? What do you mean by that!? Do you think we can take down that many enemies on our own!?
The attack might be a diversion. We cannot afford to mobilize the Luna Base’s defenses carelessly. You’ll do just fine…Captain Girard Spriggan.
…Roger that. We’ll intercept the enemy on our own.
Can we really do this?
You’ve made up your mind to fight, yes? Or are you gonna run away now?
!
I won’t run away… I’ve already decided to fight!
Do your best. Just because your mech is different from your usual one isn’t much of an excuse.
This Aesti is equipped with its own Phase Transition Engine… It’ll decrease my mobility, but I don’t have any other choice right now!
(It looks like the ending has already been decided… You’ve made it back from Mars after all. Let’s see what you can do.)

New units!

[Aestivalis Lunar Frame]
So good news and bad news. Good news is that the Lunar Frame doesn’t have the same EN problems as the other Aesti frames due to its internal engine giving it EN Regen. The bad news is that all of its attacks are ammo based, so when you run out you’re a sitting duck. We don’t get to keep this Frame after the stage, so it’s more of a note for the future.

[XMS-005 Thieleva]
Girard’s personal mobile suit. It’s above average in terms of stats. It has an average loadout otherwise, at least for now. We don’t get to keep this mobile suit after the stage, so it’s more of a note for the future.

Super Robot Wars BX - Clash
This amazing BGM here is Girard’s theme for this stage instead of the normal AGE BGM. People associate it with an Akito-Girard ship, but you tell me. I just think it’s a banger.

The general strategy is as you’d expect. Have Akito and Girard huddle up on some of the base’s massive 30% terrain and weather the incoming attacks. Try to have Girard take the lead on this because if Akito runs out of ammo, he’s more than dead weight. I didn’t pair them up to try and spread out the attacks. Not like they can be hit after using Focus anyway.

The plot continues either when there are 10 enemy squads left or at the start of turn 4.

Haa… Haa… As I thought, the Lunar Frame isn’t very user-friendly…
Tired already? You launched with such enthusiasm, but you’re already out of breath.
I-I’m fine. Your support is helping out a lot. No wonder you’re a Captain.
This battle isn’t even good as a warmup. More importantly, we have guests.

You evil Earthlings! My Daimajin will crush your mass produced demonic weapons!
(Genichiro Tsukiomi. Nadesico. CV: Toshiyuki Morikawa)
And here’s a Gekiganger-type…
It does kinda look like Gekiganger… So they really are…
They are. There must be a human on board. A human like you and me.

Your power is apparent! I won’t let you Leap any more!

Wha-- They’ve got my Aesti!
Even if you’re evil, you’re still the same species as us. I would rather not resort to this… But I have to protect everyone! You’re coming with me!
Dammit! Let go of me! What are you trying to do!?
I can think of a few reasons why they’d want to capture you.
Is it because I successfully performed a Bio-Boson Jump!?
So you coming to the battlefield was their plan the entire time… Do you really want to protect Nergal and the army that much?
They never mattered to me in the first place!
Huh?
I just can’t forgive the Jovian Lizards… They took everything from me… I’d never forgive myself if I didn’t face them!

You don’t even try to help him. Earthlings really are a cruel race who don’t mind abandoning their comrades!

Gaaaaah!
Forgive me! Even though we’re enemies, umm what’s the line… Oh. There’s no way around it! So come with us through the Jump Gate!

What!?
You can’t forgive them, eh? Heh. I prefer that to some naive rhetoric.
G-Girard?
As thanks for cooking for me earlier…let me show you my power!

Guh! That pilot…
So that’s a Bit weapon… Wait, you’re a Newtype!?
Newtypes are the next step for human innovation, right? Sorry, but I’m not that important. I’m an X-Rounder. Just a human who’s a little better at fighting than others.
An X-Rounder…
Damn you and your sneak attack! I thought somehow we might have been able to understand each other’s hearts, but you’ve dashed that hope, Earthling!
Captain Spriggan! Why did you use that power!? You…
Sorry. The situation’s changed.
Changed how?

Deploy the troops!

Akito, I’m glad you’re safe!
Yurika!
Now that the ship has appeared, I think we have no choice but to cooperate with them.
…Ugh. I’ll worry about the aftermath! You just focus on fighting!
Roger…
Are you okay, Akito? You’re not hurt anywhere, are you!?
I’m fine! Quit worrying about me!
You’re my prince! Of course I’m worried!
If you want to protect him then focus on the battle, Miss Captain of the Nadesico!
R-right!
Captain, Megumi and Minato aren’t responding to any calls.
Hmm? Did something happen to them?
I summoned them, but they didn’t show up to the bridge.
Mina and Yuki are looking for them.
Either way, we don’t have time to wait for them. Let’s just do our thing!
That ship… That’s the one that killed Tsukumo…! I can never forgive you! I’ll avenge my best friend here and now!!
That’s another Gekiganger-type… There’s a chance he’ll do a Phase Transition suicide attack! Everyone, be careful!
Hmm. Vagans are one thing, but I don’t think the Jovian unmanned weapons will do that much!
Repel the enemy as quickly as possible while minimizing damage! Everyone, godspeed out there!

So the objective right now is to defeat Genichiro’s Daimajin without either Akito or the Nadesico being shot down. Easy enough since everyone spawns really close to Genichiro. I had to hold back in order to get all the boss dialogs. It’s also worth pointing out that Minato and Megumi are missing as Nadesico’s sub-pilots.

We’re having an emergency right now. Erina, I need you to steer the Nadesico.
You can steer it, right?
Well, I’m not a co-helmsman for nothing. Seriously, what are the two of them doing at a time like this!?
Leave Minato and Megumi to the security department, Mina, and Yuki. We need to do what we can.

Girard’s mech got an upgrade in the form of its T-Bit attack. It deals a lot of damage at long range. She also gains the X-Rounder skill, which increases her hit and evasion. At this point, I paired up Girard and Akito so they can get to Genichiro faster for the dialog.

As seen here, Girard got her 100th kill (thanks NG+), so her partner bonus was upgraded.

If the battle drags on, there’s no telling if they’ll trigger another Phase Transition! Let’s put an end to this fight, Youta!
I agree! I don’t want to ask Tenkawa to save us again!
You’ve got guts to face my Daimajin without any fear. I don’t dislike the way you’re attacking me even with such poor odds!

Tch. You’ve changed your Jump pattern since our last fight! You just won’t make things easy for me!
It may transform into a human form, but it’s still an evil fighter jet! It’ll never be a match for my Daimajin and its justice!

Well, let’s get this done quickly. That Phase Transition thing is a pain in the ass!
That mech’s movements… I see what it’s trying to do! Go for it if you want! But my fiery spirit won’t be crushed so easily!

An evil ship equipped with a Phase Transition Engine! As tribute for the fallen Tsukumo, I’ll sink you myself!
Since both of us are equipped with Distortion Fields and Gravity Blasts, it’s hard to land an effective hit…
In fact, our lack of mobility puts us at a disadvantage.
There’s no need to take him down by ourselves! If we can just create an opening, the others can do the rest!

Tsukumo, watch over me! I’ll fight to the end to satisfy your will! Together with this Daimajin!
I’ve felt this before, but that Gekiganger-type’s movements are bolder than the other machines… It can’t be…

If we leave them alone, they’ll flatten the place just like with Kawasaki and my old home… They’ll destroy everything!
What a shame. If circumstances were different, we might have become friends… Blame this on the misfortune of your allegiance to the evil Earthlings! Let’s go, Earth Jumper!

How careless of me! I let myself fall for your cowardly plan!
Too bad for you. Things never go the way you want them to. That’s just life!

Argh! Justice… Justice will never be defeated!
The Gekiganger-type’s movements have slowed down! Let’s finish it off!
Everyone, get back! I’ll deal with him!
A-Akito!?

Agh!
These are Jovian Lizards… They’re not like us… They’re completely different…
What’s the matter, Tenkawa? If you won’t shoot, we will.
UWAAAAAAAAA!
Stop iiiiiiiit!
(Phone, Darkened, ???)
!?

Please stop! This isn’t like you, Akito!
(Back to normal)
Megumi!?
Why did we get into this thing again?
Minato too!?
Why are you two in a Jovian Lizard machine!?
Hold it! I don’t recall giving permission to use that!
It wasn’t my call to deploy it! I was standing over there…
Earthlings, please cease fighting.
W-who is that guy!?
Everyone, please calm down and listen. This man… No, the true identity of the Jovian Lizards are…
They’re humans, just like us. Right?
H-HUMANS!?
Not just the Vagans, but the Jovian Lizards too?

Akito, if you knew, then why…
Even if they are humans, I…

Tsukumo, you’re still alive!
Genichiro!
It’s reckless to come out in a mech that’s falling apart… It won’t be able to fight any more. Please escape!
This is bad! They might do a Boson Jump! And then…
Those two won’t be able to withstand a Bio-Boson Jump!
What should we do, Captain!?

Hurry and make a Bio-Leap, Tsukumo! Do you want to get captured by the evil Earthlings again!?
Evil Earthlings, huh…
You two, please get off this mech.
Are you sure?
You are evil Earthlings that we despise. But I have no intention of being disrespectful to the people who saved my life.
You…
[They get off]
I’ve confirmed that Megumi and Minato have escaped.
Eh?
Tsukumo, why did you…
Retreat your troops, Genichiro. The current situation isn’t in our favor.
…What happened to make you so angry? Well, at least we’ll go home together.
Thanks.
Evil Earthlings! Next time we meet, we’ll beat you with the burning justice within us!

[Any remaining enemies will leave too]
Looks like they retreated…
But why did they release their hostages?
There’s that, but there’s something I’m more worried about.
Let’s start by questioning those two.

(Tsukumo… Shiratori, huh…)

[Reigetsu, Command Room]
Lieutenant General Kusakabe, Genichiro Tsukiomi and Tsukumo Shiratori have both returned.
Thank you for your hard work, Lieutenant Colonel Tsukiomi. And thank you for coming back to us, Major Shiratori.
(Haruki Kusakabe. Nadesico. CV: Kunihiko Yasui)
My apologies, Lieutenant General Kusakabe. I’m ashamed that I was unable to complete the mission assigned to me. As a proud Jovian soldier, I’m deeply ashamed.
It’s unfortunate that we couldn’t thwart the enemy’s research into Bio-Leaps, but that’s a small loss compared to losing you. Your sister is worried about you too. Please go see her now.
…Sir. Please excuse me.
[Tsukumo leave]
Lieutenant General Kusakabe, regarding the battle on the Moon…
I’ve already read the report. It’s easy to jump to the conclusion that we were betrayed, but it’s also true that we succeeded in destroying their new Phase Transition weapon.
So you still trust him?
Lieutenant Colonel Tsukiomi, the only ones we can trust are comrades who have shared hardships in regards to the Earth Sphere. It’s not that man that I trust, but those behind him…the Vagans.

[Luna Base, Office]
Commander Algreus, thank you for your assistance in the last battle. We survived thanks to you directing the Nadesico to the Moon.
Was that action unnecessary for a hero who defeated the Jovian Lizard forces in a previous lunar battle?
(Phone)
No, not at all. Without your assistance, the fourth Nadesico-class ship wouldn’t be the only thing heavily damaged…
Sorry, but I have to take another call. Excuse me.
Sir.
Oh right. There was one thing I forgot to mention, Base Commander Simmons.
What is it?
It’s because I value your achievements that I’ve entrusted the defense of the Moon, and the Luna Base, to you. However, Command always has their eyes on the Moon. Please don’t forget that.
I’ll take those words to heart. Thank you…
[He hangs up]
He’s just a man based on Earth… He probably doesn’t understand how bad it is on the front lines.
I think you have the ability to see the future. Like just now…
Captain Girard, this time we got some good results. But in the future, you must be extremely careful and refrain from such reckless actions.
I’ll keep that in mind.
Seriously, why did I send you to that research facility anyway…
(What a boring guy… I can’t believe the public calls him a hero. But I’ll use you to achieve my purpose in life… How will you live your life, Akito Tenkawa…)

[Nadesico, Bridge]
Humans living within the Jupiter Sphere? That’s surprising.
Considering the Vagans, it wouldn’t be impossible, but hearing about it makes me wonder.
Even with advanced technology, it would be a huge undertaking to emigrate to Jupiter. In fact, the environment on a crappy planet would be far better than that.
Currently, there’s a fleet of helium extracting vessels around Jupiter from the public sector, but they’re not there all the time.
Also the federal army said they were aliens, right? What was that about?
It was all a lie. They were lying to everyone.
Even during the last Vagan war, there were voices calling for peace because both sides were human. It would be easier to fight them if everyone thought they were aliens.
But why would you help them escape?
We couldn’t just leave an injured man alone… He’s human, just like us, right?
They’re still our enemies.
!?
They killed the people on Mars… Everyone… Everyone who lived there was…
Akito…
Seriously… As soon as the Jovian’s identity was discovered, everyone starts freaking out.
I think we’re pretty calm all things considered. Anyway, it seems someone of your rank knew who they were already.
I didn’t know anything.
Really? You didn’t know? And here I thought you were an Admiral.
…I’m sorry that I wasn’t told. But what difference does it make? Even if they’re humans, we’re still being invaded. It’s only natural that we fight to protect ourselves, right?
Well, it’s as the Admiral says. We just have to accept that.
I know you need to fight to stay alive, but…
It’s kinda sad…
Those feelings should be treasured. Even in the midst of war, you are still human.
Yeah…
So Captain, what will you do to Meg and me?
He wasn’t quite a POW, but I still let the enemy escape. I’m prepared for punishment.

Well, Yurika?
I wasn’t planning on doing anything.
So you’re not going to punish them?
You were suddenly told they were human, so no one can blame you for what you did. That’s true for Akito, right? After all, even though you were finally reunited with your love, you didn’t show me any joy at first!
I-idiot! You’re getting off topic again.
Captain… Are you sure that’s okay?
Of course, you’ll be in big trouble if you do it again, but I believe in you two!
…I don’t know if I should be saying this, but our Captain is a bit…
I guess you could call her generous…
I think she’s just an idiot.
Admiral! Is that really the best way to respond to this!?
Nothing you say will get through to her. Anyway, can we start heading to our next mission? We just got a new one.
Are we transporting luggage this time? Or are we a taxi now?
You have more sense than I thought. You’re not too far off.
Huh?
This is a mission you’ll love. You’re to save a life. But this time we’ll be working together with the Federation’s independent space force, Londo Bell.

[Palau, Office]
I see… Nadesico and Londo Bell are coming.
The current Commander-in-Chief of the federal army seems to be trying to distance himself from the Vist Foundation.
(Lady Lynx. Giant Gorg. CV: Gara Takashima) (Phone)
Humans act by weighing the pros and cons. Isn’t that the case with you too, Lady Lynx?
…It is. The Cougar Connection is thriving thanks to Neo Zeon. There are many different types of terrorists after all.
You vixen! Don’t talk to the Colonel like that!
It’s fine, Captain Angelo. She’s talking to me as equals.
Hehe. In any case, wouldn’t it be okay if you let me meet her at least once? I’m referring to the princess of Zeon, Mineva Lao Zabi.
I’m sorry, but Lady Mineva is the rightful successor to Zeon and the last surviving member of the Zabi Family. She’s not someone I can just casually introduce to anyone.
So it’s not that you don’t want us to meet, but you can’t let us meet…?
!
Are you implying that Lady Mineva isn’t here?
Well, speaking of the Zabi family, the most well-known rumor about them is that they assassinated Zeon Deikun, the founder of Zeon. If you really are the reincarnation of the Red Comet, Char Aznable, then I’m sure you don’t have any positive feelings towards her.
Even if that is the case, there are many followers of the Zabi Family in Neo Zeon. Don’t you think what you’re implying is a bit too risky?
Heh. Let’s drop it there. I’m sorry if I offended you. When you're in a business like mine, you can’t help but want to find out what’s going on behind the scenes.
Don’t worry about it. I’m just surprised by the scope of your information network. For example, I was completely taken aback that you even discovered the existence of “Laplace’s Box”.
Right, Laplace’s Box… I heard that if the contents were revealed to the public, it could flip the Federation on its head in an instant. But could something like that really be inside?
The truth isn’t important. The fact that it might be true is. That’s why the Vist Foundation was able to prosper alongside the Federation.
Hmm… Well, it doesn’t really matter to me anyway. I’ll just keep doing my best. It helps that you’ve found the “key” to the Box.
[She hangs up]
That woman is really…
It’s what you’d expect from the leader of the Mafia. Besides, it’s thanks to her that we’re able to get supplies and information right now. Maybe we should be more grateful?
Colonel, you’re too generous…
Things are about to become more real. Right now, I’m defining myself as a vessel. There are certain feelings from those who were abandoned by the universe. And I am the vessel that accepts the aspirations of those who inherited the ideals of Zeon. That’s why I continue to exist as Char Aznable.
Colonel…
For that reason, I will even march out to battle the new Gundam that single handedly defeated the Garencieres.
The key is that Gundam… That loathsome mobile suit that sullied your battlefield…
Angelo, that’s in the past. The performance of that Gundam was certainly impressive. But now that it’s in our hands, play nice.
Sir…
What’s the pilot up to?
You mean that ignorant brat who spoke up to you? I haven’t heard any reports from Zinnerman…
He’s still a boy. Even though he pilots a mobile suit, it seems he couldn’t bear it when he took a life. Even though he’s our prisoner, I hope he’ll become our ally. Banagher Links…

[Palau, City]
(That man told me “I want you to know about us”, and “I’d like you to be our ally”...)
What’s wrong? You’re walking around aimlessly. It’d be dangerous if you got lost.
(Marida Cruz. Gundam Unicorn. CV: Yuko Kaida)

You’re Zeon’s… It’s obvious that you’re not from around here. If you get separated from me, I can’t guarantee your safety.
Then why are you making me walk around like this?
It’s the Captain’s orders.
I don’t really understand why…
Well… I’m sorry, but I have something to take care of. Wait here.
Don’t just leave me here!
[Marida leave]
Ah…
(Even if you tell me to wait here, I…)
I’m sorry… Due to the influence of the Vagans and Jovian Lizards, it seems supplies are running low…
(Palau Resident)
There’s no point in telling me that. You need to find something to tell your kids.
(Palau Resident)
I took away…the life of someone who lived here… I… I killed someone…

[Ptolemaios 2 Kai, Briefing Room]
So this is the target of our next mission. He’s in a bit of a tricky location.
So I just need to infiltrate and make contact with the target. This shouldn’t take long, should it?
