A close ranged monster. Thanks to his small size, excellent mobility, and surprisingly alright armor, Knight Gundam can survive in most encounters. He also has minor HP regen to help his survivability. That’s not to mention that he’ll only get better over the course of the game. He can also throw his sword for a mid-ranged option. Knight Gundam’s Spear attack also has the benefit of decreasing the enemy’s mobility.
Attack the Mud Golem in front of you. There’s a rock near where Knight Gundam starts that has some defensive bonuses. You shouldn’t need to use Focus, but it always helps. The Mud Golems and those other monsters will attack each other. Try to make sure they don’t killsteal you and rob you of that sweet EXP and money.
If the Zeon Clan is here, then does that mean we’re in the Moore World? No, if this was their base, it would be filled with more sinister magical power! That can’t be the case!
The plot continues on turn 3 or when 16 enemy squads remain.

A tank of a Super Robot. Right now he only has close ranged attacks, but will get more attacks later on. That HP regen is also essential for its survivability. Throw in very solid melee attacks and Gorg is a very solid party member.
As part of the plot, you cannot control Gorg for this stage. Advance and defeat the enemies! Don’t let Gorg die, as his death is a defeat condition. If you rush forward, you should be fine. Also don’t forget that Knight Gundam was injured in that cutscene fight, so he’ll need some healing.
Watch out for the rock tentacle monsters. If they hit you, they’ll sap your movement and only let you move 2 squares the next time you move.
