Sunkern analysis

Well this is a welcome change compared to its previous form. Sunflora isn't too bad, sure it's slow and frail, but it actually has some power behind it. You've just gotta wait a while to actually get the right moves and then you're golden. Annoyingly, you've only got Mega Drain for a while, but then at level 31, you get Petal Dance, which is still the best consistent Grass move in the game, so that's a plus. You just miss out on Razor Leaf, as you learn that at level 10, so the only way to get it is to breed a Sunkern then immediately evolve it. You can give yourself a couple Normal moves to go with your usable Attack stat, since you, uh, don't really have any other options. And then hope you're not roasted alive when you use Sunny Day and Solarbeam. So yeah, while Sunkern is one of the worst Pokemon you can pick up, Sunflora ain't a slouch, so if you get the chance, give it a go.
