Togepi analysis
Alright fine, I can work with this. Togetic isn't much better than Togepi, but it can work as an alright special tank... if it didn't have the typing it did. Its terrible Attack does nothing to help its STAB, which is a shame, cause it can learn a fair few good Normal and Flyi- well, Fly. But that's not the point! All it can go for are special moves that it'll be waiting on for a while, cause bad TM distribution, etc, etc. Even as a defensive Pokemon it doesn't really learn all that many support moves that directly benefit it and its high Special Defense, so just throw some elemental coverage when you eventually get the TMs and, uh, spend most of the main game cursing how Shadow Ball is physical? Sure, go with that, cause I'll applaud it for physical Pokemon and lambaste it for special Pokemon. Just can't win in these generations... I guess it's an alright physical tank too, but with HP like that, don't expect the best. It's weird. This Pokemon can be good, but then isn't for a long time. And even then, it's not really that good. Gah, conflicted.
