What an interesting punching tadpole. Its stats aren't particularly impressive, but they're not exactly bad, just fairly even, meaning it doesn't exactly excel at anything, but it can at least do a bit of everything. It has a good amount of tank to it and can take some hits and even its worse stats allow it to hit back with a good amount of force, being able to use both of its STABs effectively. Its Water STAB is easy enough to find, its the Fighting STAB that you'll have trouble with if you evolve it too late to miss out on Submission. Though why would you keep Poliwhirl around until then? From Poliwhirl, you'll also have Body Slam as well as Belly Drum, if you want to go for that. Add in Psychic, Earthquake or an Ice move and you'll have a fine mixed attacker that won't be too crazy, but it'll do just fine.
