Cyndaquil analysis
Following on from the fire porcupine is a good improvement. It continues its focus on Special Attack and Speed, as well as an alright Attack and Special Defense. We'll be sticking with Ember for the next while, but with the boosted stats, even Ember can pack a punch. The rarity of Fire types and its good matchups against a number of Pokemon encountered this early on makes this evolved starter a continued choice, but it might start falling off as we get later into the game. Especially since it has a pretty bad very movepool, with only two moves learned until the next evolution, but being a usable mixed attacker, there's plenty we can supplement it with.
