Welcome to Super Robot Wars D. The D stands for Destiny. Mortal enemies teaming up for The Greater Good. Getting super swole with the power of rock music. Missing a giant stationary target with an asteroid. Fun times.

What is this game?
SRW D is a strategy RPG for the Gameboy Advance released on August 8, 2003. If you haven’t seen Brunom1’s wonderful LPs of other Super Robot Wars games, it’s essentially like Fire Emblem, but a collaboration of mecha anime (but with fundamental differences). Some are easy; some are hard. This one is on the harder side thanks to a few quirks that I’ll point out when they become relevant.

Why do this?
Because I want to. Super Robot Wars is my favorite franchise of all time and I love sharing my passions. This game is Japanese only but I’ll be translating everything to the best of my ability. I haven’t had to seriously translate in about a decade so forgive me if things are rough. This is also my first time posting here. My goal is to update at least once a week, hopefully more.

What series are in this game?
There are quite a few series that are in this game and some of them even feature their own plots that intertwine together in interesting ways. Other series’ plots have already happened and they’re just sticking around to help.

Of these, Big O, Daltanious, Shin Getter Armageddon, Macross 7, and Megazone 23 all have their first appearance in this franchise in this game.

This will be my first screenshot LP so please let me know if I make any mistakes or if there are ways I can do things better. Please do not spoil the story but anime spoilers are fine if they’re marked appropriately. Remember that not everyone has seen what you’ve seen.

This game does feature route splits and unique units and scenarios depending on the decisions you make. It also has a lot of secrets to be found. I have a route in mind that I will ultimately take to the end, but I will be covering every stage for completionists sake. Some of the routes even have different chapter lengths. I’ll bold the chapter number that is relevant for the current run.

Also this game does contain swearing. Just a heads up if you're reading this on SA without an account or something. Just that someone pointed it out to me.
